Great views. Value for money
Kind of a mixed bag. We booked for 2 nights well in advance, and then decided to arrive a day earlier and added a 3rd night via a separate booking. It didn't work out that very well, as we got a rather tiny room with an external bathroom the first night. We did rectify this the next day after putting in the request to a much nicer and larger room with an attached bathroom. Not all rooms are equally sized so helps to ask. There is an additional €5 per night for parking to contend with, and whilst you can bring your car up to the top of the square to unload, be prepared for about a 5-7min walk downhill to the parking. Castelmola is situated on the very top of the hill so that's par for course. The views down to Taormina and out to the sea and fantastic, so make sure you get a sea-view room. You won't really meet the staff of the hotel, as all dealings are done with the cafe people out front, who were lovely.

Amazing
The room is fairly basic, but at this cost, you wouldn't expect much. What was beyond description was the view from the balcony. This place is a gem and I 100% recommend. Breakfast down at the Cafe was very nice too. Grazie ragazzi!

Great little hotel with fantastic sea views
Situated above Taormina (5min by car and a few more by a regular bus plus the option to walk away from streets), you have amazing views over the town below and the sea from your own balkcony. Castelmone (the mountain-top village where it is situated) is itself well worth a trip with its narrow streets and churches. Rooms are nice with en-suite bathroom and (in our case) two great baconies - one facing the sea and one the village.

Very nice place
I only asked for a room with a nice view and the emotion that my wife got when she looked out from the balcony of our room values even more than a 5 star rate :)

Amazing view
This villa is in a wonderful location and has everything you need. Just a shame the manager wasn't a bit more welcoming - a little bit of information on arrival would have been appreciated and we would have felt more likely to eat in the restaurant! That said we thoroughly enjoyed our stay - thank you

Great views
Great views from the balcony and surrounds. Hotel is reasonable value for the price. Note that there is no car parking in the hotel, but the hotel can provide a permit at a cost to enable parking 100 to 200 metres down the hill.

Room with a View
The village itself was absolutely gorgeous and the quaintness of staying on a mountaintop overlooking the Mediterranean was an awesome experience. Window overlooking the sea was worth all of the stairs we had to take.

Amazing views affordable price
The hotel is on a cliff edge at the top of the Castelmola town. The views are amazing, rooms are clean, however, the bedding and linen/towels are aged. The cafe staff arrange the check in however checkout must be paid at a hotel further down the road. There are several steep stairs from the cafe to the villa location. The cafe staff are helpful with a small amount of English. There are no laundry facilities as noted on the Expedia listing. Lovely spot and would recommend. At the price rate (you get what you pay for) it is worth it for the view.

Amazing view from balcony!!!
Small hotel located very close to centre of Castelmola. Few minutes walks to everywhere there! Very kind stuff. Is not modern full luxury hotel but is clean and quite comfy. Clean service everyday. Definitely the best view from balcony I've ever had!! Worth that price.

Gem
Arrived late at night, thought the location was terrible because it was at the end of the long winding mountainous road! In the morning it's entirely different - view from bedroom window was amazing, with sunrise from ocean and birdseye view of taormina. on the last night of our stay there was a re-enactment of the birth of jesus, happening right out side of the hotel, so it can't be more well located ;) Depending on your luck, you can get a huge or smaller room, but the bathroom are too small. for me though, the view of the mountains and sunrise more than compensated for it.

A wonderful location with spectacular views!
The hotel is situated very conveniently in Castelmola with magnificent views from all rooms. The check in is at the San Giorgio Bar in the market square. The staff are friendly but we did not get any assistance with taking luggage to our room and we were quite loaded with heavy suitcases . Our room was OK although pretty small and outdated. We had a safe but there was no key. The bathroom was wee, it was hard to even turn around in the shower! The balcony certainly gives you a magnificent view but unfortunately there is no privacy from the neighbouring rooms and we had smokers on both sides of us. Quite honestly though for the price of the accommodation it is worth it..we still slept well and had a lovely couple of days in the majestic village. We challenged ourselves to the walk down to the ocean and all the way back up. totally exhausting but felt good to have done it! The pizza we had for dinner at the San Giorgio cafe on our second night was without a doubt the best we had in 2 weeks in Italy!! We loved the fact that you are given a parking pass for your stay. Overall you get what you pay for. This was the cheapest accommodation we had during our trip to Italy this time and was not the most comfortable but we would still return if not just for the views.

Best to have a car to access this b&b as it is up on the mountain. Not well indicated too. Nice terrasse with amazing views on the coast to enjoy delicious breakfast. Room decoration is rustic but views from the room were great.

They even had air conditioning!
The drive up to Castel Mola was almost hair raising, but the view was worth it. I was not eps ting AC as the reviews I read said they did not. Good thing as it was VERY HOT! We had a corner room w/two balconies-one perched on the very edge of the mountain. I found the staff to be somewhat detached, but helpful. Know that the town is tiny and is overrun w/tourists arriving in busses from very early in the day. Also note that parking is a problem!

Spectacular View
This hotel is under-rated as 2 star. The room has a perfect view from the room balcony. The surrounding offer good restaurants, all with a view though the drive up to the hotel is quite challenging due to steep slope. Value for money. Regret we didn't get a chance to stay longer.

We stayed in this wonderful place. It was warm family hospitality, good breakfast and a stunning location. Although the long climb to the mountain but the road is good, watching over Taumina and the beach. We highly recommend this hotel as a station for accommodation in this area.

Absolute Bargain
The hotel is based in the pretty historic village of Castlemola, which is actually about 4kms further up the mountain from Taormina. However, there is an hourly 'bus' service (which is an air conditioned coach!) that will take you to Taormina for about 3 euros return. The hotel was clean, confortable with a small fridge, kettle and constant hot water. It has the most fantastic views over Taormina. The one downside was no air conditioning. I would definitely go back again.
