Absolutely fantastic location just steps away from all the restaurants and sights without being too noisy. Beautiful, large rooms which were impeccably clean. All the staff from reception to restaurant to maids were very helpful.

Great location, comfortable bed!
We loved this hotel. It was in a great location, the staff was super friendly, and our room was very nice. It was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I’ve ever slept on in a hotel. The rooftop pool is quiet and nice. The last night of our stay there was an event going on downstairs so it was a bit loud, but it didn’t bother us. We would definitely stay here again.

The property was okay, it was just a bed to lay your head on at night at an expensive cost. The area was unsafe and the people on the streets were persistent in their begging. We had an okay time over all, didn’t get to use the pool that much, but we were very upset to be stuck in the basement.

It’s important to know that the Nacar hotel has 2 properties in Cartagena, each a block away from each other but very different hotels. This is not mentioned anywhere when booking. I ended up at the sister property which was noisy at night , didn’t have an elevator and doesn’t have a backup generator for when power goes out. Which it did during my stay. I do want to compliment the very friendly staff that I met while staying there.

We had a fantastic four-night stay at the Nacar! The property is lovely, the location is wonderful and the staff is absolutely wonderful! They were super friendly, helpful and really exceeded expectations. The breakfasts were delicious. Our room was gorgeous. We especially enjoyed the private pool. If you’re staying in the old walled city, definitely pick the Nacar. You’ll be glad you did!

We enjoyed our stay, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were cleaned to a high standard, the staff even came to the door in the evening, to see if there was anything else we needed, very nice touch. The hotel is in the quieter part of town, so you don’t hear all the noise late at night, but only a 10 min walk away if you want to be part of it. They also have a rooftop pool, which we took advantage of, to cool down in the afternoon.
