About this property

A Spacious Family and Pet Friendly House with Large Garden and Free Parking

The lovely house is set in the beautiful Carmarthenshire countryside, 20 minutes from the M4. Whilst maintaining many traditional features it has modern facilities and is well placed for many attractions and has stunning views across the Towy Valley.
The house is at the end of a long private drive, with parking for at least three vehicles. The large private garden is a great space for relaxing, playing games, barbecuing and enjoying the views. A lovely place for all ages to enjoy their ideal holiday. We are dog friendly and allow up to two well behaved dogs.
The space

Downstairs: a comfortable lounge with ample sitting for eight guests with an open-fire and a smart TV; a study work area with a desk and casual reading area. This room can also be used as a children’s playroom and has a cupboard full of toys and board games. The study has an array of books that guests love to browse through ; the dining room has seating and tableware for eight guests and also a music centre and LPs; the kitchen has a convention cooker double sink and all the pots pans and equipment to cook to your hearts content; the utility room houses the fridge freezer, separate fridge, dishwasher and washing machine; the garden room has seating for eight guests and the downstairs shower room has a shower, wash basin and toilet.the house is child friendly a stair gate, toys , a travelling cot, high chair and child’s tableware.

Guest access
Guests can access all areas of the house and gardens (its wonderful at night for star gazing) as it is exclusively theirs for the duration of the stay. There is parking space for three cars directly opposite the farmhouse.
Other things to note
Visitors may require walking boots/wellingtons, as external areas may be muddy during inclement weather. The Victorian style Garden Room is a wonderful place to relax. In the sunshine it is a bright welcoming room but in the colder weather rugs ( provided) are a must as it has no heating and it can get chilly. There is much to do within a day trip from the house: Stunning coastal walks with beautiful beaches; magical castles; children’s adventure activities eg Folly Farm and Dinosaur Land; wonderful gardens the National Botanical Gardens and Aberglasny Gardens are ten minutes away; forest trails; road and mountain biking routes; market towns with ample shopping and excellent restaurants and pubs. Alternatively stay put, and enjoy the garden, reading in the study and or playing games. The kitchen is well equipped and is ideal for those who love to cook. In the Winter months cosying up to an open fire in the sitting room whatever the weather is doing outside, is a must! In the sunny weather guests love getting together for a barbecue, the dogs love wandering around and the children love playing hide and seek in the trees!
During your stay at this farm stay, you'll be close to National Botanic Garden of Wales.

Old fashioned family farmhouse
Big garden ideal for our dog. Beautiful view. In need of a bit of refurbishment downstairs. Wifi patchy makes streaming tricky but great location for Botanic Gardens, Aberglasney and castles.

Best host to date
Anne and Philip are fantastic host. When we arrived at the cottage, we were given some freshly laid eggs and home baked bread. The property has loads of character and a lovely large garden. We were very comfortable and would not hesitate returning.

Lovely stay in a lovely place
We had a lovely weekend here, two families of four with two dogs. We all appreciated the outside space- garden for dogs and kids to roam (and look at the chickens), bbq and take in the views morning and evening. We loved the record player and showing the kids what vinyl sounded like, and having enough ro to cook and eat meals together inside and out. Bedrooms were lovely and everyone slept well. Anne and Philip were gracious hosts and left a lovely welcome basket- much appreciated!

Spacious, conveniently located property
We really enjoyed our stay at Penybanc Isaf. It was easy to find using the instructions supplied and we were pleasantly surprised by the amount of space in the house. There was a large kitchen and adjoining utility room providing lots of storage. It was nice to have the flexibility of a sitting room, play room and conservatory so lots of options. The house is in a quiet and picturesque location but also easy to get to the National Botanic Gardens or on the dual carriage way to Carmarthen or further on to Folly Farm. We also enjoyed visiting Aberglasney Gardens and Llandeilo which were 15-20mins from the house. Anne was very accommodating and went out of her way to help us out. We would recommend this accommodation to any one that wanted to explore this area and have a relaxing break.

Great family getaway
We booked the farmhouse for the weekend for my dad's 70th birthday. 6 adults and a 1 year old and the house was just fantastic for us to celebrate the occasion together. All the bedrooms were lovely with comfortable beds and lovely clean linen. The fire in the lounge was perfect to warm us up after days out. There were plenty of toys and rooms for my daughter to explore. Views from the house were wonderful and it is so lovely and quiet, just right for a good night's sleep! Would highly recommend this property and we will probably be back soon!

Spent a long weekend here with my family - location and views were absolutely beautiful, as was the actual house. Genuinely hope to return next year - maybe for a bit longer this time!

The location was perfect, it was remote, tranquil with beautiful scenery. Very spacious house.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, both adults and children. Huge garden which the children loved. Philip and Anne were great hosts and were enjoyed the fresh eggs and bread on our arrival.

Pure Perfection
The property itself is a cosy and spacious farmhouse filled with immeasurable charm. From the intriguing art to the quint touches the owners Anne and Philip have added like the exotic looking shells scattered around and a record collection that oozes taste. Anne and Philip themselves, along with their 2 dogs were the sweetest, most hospitable hosts one (or 8) could ask for, with fresh eggs and homemade bread on arrival. Everything was fresh and clean and the private garden was a dream to relax in. The house is 10 minutes from breathtaking views and incredible sights for anyone looking to escape into nature. I honestly couldn't have wanted for more and will 100% be looking to stay again. Absolutely smitten. 6 out of 5! -C

Lovely family house in beautiful location
We loved our stay at Anne’s house. What a home from home it is. It’s a large property great for a family group to socialise but also have space to spread out. We loved the kitchen and log burner in particular. Anne went above and beyond to make sure we were looked after and even baked us some fresh bread which was delicious. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again in the future. Also super dog friendly house, even has a stair gate to keep them downstairs so we didn’t use our own! Thanks Anne!
