A relaxing place, great for family and kids. Easy access, with just a short walk to the beach. The resort also has two pools-- one for adults only and one for family. Tennis court, gyms, on-site laundromat, miniature golf, volleyball, basketball court, BBQ pits, picnic areas, play yard, tot lot.

Inside, a full kitchen and a large bedroom with king size bed, separate desk and big screen smart TV, and private bath access with two person jacuzzi tub, and two person shower. The spacious living room has a queen sofa bed, cozy fireplace, big screen smart TV, DVD player. The kitchen includes pots and pans, and place settings for four, dining table and dining nook. A balcony allows great views of the inside courtyard, beach and ocean beyond. The apartment has covered garage parking and oversize parking outside, for pickups, vans and campers (ask front desk for tag, so you won't get a ticket).

Although very private, just one or so stop on the highway to great shopping at Carlsbad Outlet Center (lots of name brands) , Legoland one mile away, Downtown Carlsbad in a few minutes, and Del Mar Race Track (10 minutes), and attractions like Palomar Observatory, Palomar State parks, etc.

And just a bit further south are the famous San Diego Safari Parks, and San Diego Zoo. Further north is Orange County, with Disneyland, and just beyond that Los Angeles with Hollywood and all the LA attractions. They make great day trips using Seapoint Carlsbad as the home base, if you don't want to spend every day at the beach.
