I’d like to start with the positives; The location is perfect as it is just steps from the corner liquor store and the village. The kitchen layout and appliances are great for cooking meals for the family. The challenge was the dull knives, limited cutting boards, and BBQ that does not work. All bedrooms are upstairs but due to no carpeting, all is heard both upstairs and down so bring your earplugs and eye mask as one bedroom has sheer curtains and skylight. If you intend on sleeping comfortably, bring your own pillows. The master bedroom has an extremely firm mattress and the second queen has springs that physically bruise you. Now to the scary: the electrical in the house leaves one to fear an impending fire. The upstairs bathroom light rarely worked and the kitchen lights turned themselves on and off. The exposed/broken outlets had us wrangling toddlers to keep them clear of them.
In the end, we would rent again if the electrical was addressed, mattresses replaced, and maybe some floor runners to break the echo. We will be sure to pack accordingly next time.

Stayed at this property with my son and his family. House was perfect. Location was ideal as we could walk everywhere. Would stay here again.

Beach Hideaway
We've visited Capitola Village countless times and recently decided to spend a few nights there. The property, conveniently located just steps from the village on flat terrain, offered a spacious and impeccably clean accommodation. It came fully equipped with all the necessary kitchen and living amenities. The beds were reasonably comfortable, though the house's design, featuring 4-foot countertops and 5-foot high shower heads, posed a slight challenge for our taller family members during showers. Pet owners should note the limited grassy areas nearby, necessitating a bit of a walk for dog potty breaks. Unfortunately, due to intermittent rain, we couldn't enjoy the sun deck or upper deck, which we imagine would be delightful in better weather. The property management was exceptional, promptly replacing a broken coffee pot within hours of being notified, which was greatly appreciated. We would happily return for another stay.

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION !! Great trip and the house slept my whole family! Could use some updating but I liked how we didn’t have to worry about things being perfect ! Highly recommend!!
