As always with most Mexican resorts staff are great.. HVG was no exception..However for being a new resort , the property was in some disrepair.. The roof top while large , was designed with a lagoon view which was boring and not welcoming , if they had reversed the design to have pool overlooking golf course/ ocean , would have be smarter .. anyone who has stayed in Mexico knows about the septic smell that arises once and a while around the resort , however , again poor planning this large building traps the smell from the sewer( which after basic treatment heads to lagoon , the water at the edge of the mangrove is dirty , I can take some smell but was not able to spend anytime at the main pool , due to constant stink ..The beach club was nice , but rough in spots , There is water drainage issues from the parking lot to the roof top , I was on the rooftop early one morning during a light rain storm and found the drain pipe overflowing flooding the roof which is evident with water stains all along baseboards and bottom of washroom doors( which were rotted out and moldy.. only after 6 months .. Hyatt didn’t think this one through at all .. Coco cafe was good but again in the main area which maintained a stink day and night ..Buffet was never ready for 7am so stay in bed if you like to eat early ..I have been to a lot of the hotel zone resorts over 32 years of annual travel to the area .. can’t go back to this one .. sorry

This place is amazing. The staff is fantastic. The food was incredible. The only thing they need to work is their app. It was always unclear how to make reservations on the app and it often didn't work.

It’s a really beautiful resort the decor is just perfect I love the smell of cleanliness. The water bikes are nice way to exercise with a beautiful view. There is not much of no entertainment here at all which makes it so ghostly quiet. I think they should have daily entertainment.

Property was beautiful! Loved the rooftop pool. The food was ok…my favorite was the Lasagna at the Italian restaurant and the Asian restaurant on the rooftop(dinner). The breakfast was ok but if you don’t eat pork there aren’t many meat choices so keep that in mind. The bars are nice but there is no I repeat NO night life at this resort. If you’re looking for relaxing and drinking all you can drink this is the place. The staff was very polite and answered all of our questions. Will visit again

June 17, 2024. Room 2003. Vantage Club Junior Suite Bay View Double Bed. 1. Leakage from both sides of the ceiling near the television and above the bed. Strange noises from the ceiling. June 18, 2024. Room 2008. Vantage Club Jr Suite Golf & Ocean View Double Bed. 1. Floor flooded due to sink pipe leakage. 2. Both faucets at the sink are loose and not securely fixed. 3. Toilet seat cover is completely loose and unusable. 4. Insects appeared from under the room service waffle. 5. Despite the entire building being designated as non-smoking, cigarette butts are left on the balcony floor. 6. The beach club wooden door, soaked from the rain, either swelled or was difficult to open, so I exited while it remained slightly ajar. However, after we left, a staff member attempted to open the door wider by pulling on it, causing the concrete wall above the door to collapse and fall to the ground. If it had fallen on someone's head, it could have caused serious injury. 7. A staff member slipped on the slippery beach club glass floor. This was a situation where hotel guests could also potentially slip and fall. June 18-19, 2024. Room 1201. Vantage Club Master Suite Bay View King Bed. 1. Two balcony windows have issues: one doesn't close fully, and the other doesn't open. Maintenance came and repaired them. 2. Throughout the day, wind noise louder than that of an airplane cutting through the sky persisted through the completely non-soundproofed windows.
