Super friendly and helpful staff, rooms were clean, hotel was very nice (especially at night) , about a 10min drive (~8-10$ uber ride), food at the restaurant was very good and not expensive , they have a great habanero salsa. Continental breakfast was delicious (fruit & coconut granola and fruit sauce platter) Only minor downsides is the AC could be a bit stronger but a tip is to ask for an extra key so you can have the AC running whenever you leave and the room stays cool. Another small thing is the roadnoise, but honestly it never bugged me or kept me from sleeping. But these arent major and for the price, this hotel is not bad at all. Buses were able to pick us up at this hotel for our tours and uber eats able to deliver- I would stay here again if i was looking for a room off the main strip.

Property is in grave disrepair. Beach area is unsafe and dirty. Pool along swim out rooms was lined with algae. Staff was limited and only one bar/restaurant was open. Housekeeping (or someone) left my room door ajar while I was out. Not at all as advertised.

I don’t normally leave reviews, but this was a pretty bad hotel experience. The bar staff were great and the food was really good, but outside of that I wouldn’t recommend this place. We both got stung by jellyfish within a minute of getting in the water at the private beach (there were no signs or anything) and the vast majority of the property smelled terrible for most of our stay, including the lobby. (Presumably because it’s on a swamp?) The hotel is right by a main road so you hear the loud sound of cars all day and often in the night, too. It’s also not walking distance to anything and most of the resort is abandoned/run down/closed. It felt like an abandoned amusement park or something! On our second day water started gushing from the ceiling of our bathroom, drenching our toothbrushes and other belongings. They moved us to a different room and during the changeover the manager didn’t apologize and was very concerned with making sure she knew what mini bar snacks to charge us for. We struggled to get enough drinkable water—we’d buy bottles from the bar but it was challenging to get enough. We went to the lobby in the middle of the night twice because we really needed water and they were only able to find one tiny bottle for the two of us. Very bizarre. The second pool was tiny and unusable due to being so dirty and smelling so bad, and the walk-in pool often smelled terrible, too. (I’m all for being in nature but this was a uniquely horrible smell haha.)

Beautiful views of the jungle and ocean from your room! Ambience, decor, & walk to a secluded beach are incredible. The staff was top notch, we received the best hospitality and service throughout our entire stay, I cannot praise them enough. The food at the restaurant was delicious. Both pools were fantastic. We unfortunately were at the resort about a week after Hurricane Helene. The chair cushions had been removed because of the storm which we completely understood, however they were not replaced during our stay which made the chairs a bit uncomfy. The resort is off the main strip, which is what we prefer when we travel. Pro is a secluded stay without a ton of tourism around you, con is we didn’t have any markets within walking distance and the hotel is built over the jungle so it can get a bit jungle smelly in certain areas. We specifically could smell this when walking over the bridge to the beach, but hey that’s nature right?! As long as you plan appropriately and stop by a store to stock up on water and any other items you may need the proximity to a store shouldn’t be a problem! The resort itself doesn’t have a taxi service but they did help us with reaching someone to take us back to the airport, this was a super easy process just be sure to have cash available. The hotel is only about a 5-10 min drive to the strip if you did want to take a taxi in for that. Overall this was a wonderful stay, we’d stay again! Def recommend for a honeymoon type of trip, this was ours!

The most unique unusual property, I was left speechless. I would highly recommend the experience of this property for a few days, my stay was only one night to be close to the Cancun airport. One day and night was too short a stay. Be prepared to take a lot of pictures too.

So first I would like to say I hope people find this place because it is amazing. The vibe is exactly what we were looking for. The staff was amazing. The chef even better. Some of the best food in town came from eating where we slept. The convenience made getting around perfect(uber is cheap to get anywhere in cancun). Now we wanted to stay somewhere without kids and we don't care about all inclusive its a waste of money. So this place was perfect. The swim up pool was an awesome feature and the water temp was perfect. During the weekday is when we travel amd man it was nice being that no one was there. But sad because we really loved this place. The rooftop pool has the best view of almost the entire surroinding island. Its spectacular a must see. My lady and I got Tomorrowland vibes so if you like that then its exactly it. We reccomend this place to those who like to travel and save the money for the things in town and the food/excursions. Bang for the buck. Now what needs to he fixed to help this place is cleaning up the marsh. Cleaning up the area where there is beach access because its very nice. Maybe sound proofing the doors a little more since being close to the street(but its not too bad) could use some sort of bug candles or something on the roof area. There is so much beach access and also a dope ass bungalow area it must be cleaned up and used to paddle board or canoe or something but such a long stretch of amazing property not being used.

This entire hotel was an experience! Huge shout outs to Johnathan, Jamie, Suri, Victor, and Will. They made the experience 5 star! Everyone was very accommodating and personable. Kept the drinks flowing, helped me set up a massage, and ordered a cab for departure. I really liked the small details in the hotel decor. Eccentric and sets a vibe! Security post at entrance, kept an eye on entrance. Private beach. Perfect place to relax or turn up.

Over all it was good , until right after we check out we kindly asked at front desk to call a taxi cab for us to live the property since this property location it’s very far apart from the city which they did got a taxi cab for us how ever when being dropped off the taxi driver over charged us in a almost rep off way , asked the driver why so much abusing way for such short and typical ride , his answer and I quote : that’s what management at Akiazul told me to charge you and he started to insult us I then proceeded to pay him , I them called the property and speak with a customer service representative by the name of Castillo who was respectful and polite she told me that she will start an investigation and will return my call , few hours later she did call me back and advised me to stop back in to pick up the one portion of the money that I was over charged.
