I booked the Carlyle based on at the pictures and reviews. While they were all fairly positive, I was skeptical. The price was much less than other hotels in the area. We were pleasantly surprised. The location lacks charm. But being only a block from the highway was perfect for getting where we needed to easily. The room was quiet,very clean, and the beds comfortable. The kerig coffee maker with pods in the room was an added bonus. The hotel management was also very quick to respond to a text I had with questions. An excellent choice for the price.

They didn’t have enough parking and had no other options. The night manager told me to either illegally park in the handicap space or double park against a wall. I had no choice but to double park and leave my phone number in the window. I was then woken up at 6am to go move my car. Totally unacceptable I would never consider staying there.

The Carlyle doesn’t look like much from the outside but once you’re inside it is delightful. The Victorian decor is whimsical and charming. The room was clean and everything you need from a hotel!

No breakfast when I thought I saw that they offered. The tub-shower I was using had a “Duck taped” solution to the hole in the tub. Bed sheets: iffy-clean. No one in the reception area: I waited 15 mins to get discharged. I waited 5 mins to be admitted at 3:30pm. Cleaning staff were very helpful even if they didn’t speak English. Internet Access: hardly any. Not even “spotty”; NONE for the whole evening. Terrible. Ample parking downstairs. Tricky to maneuver. Air conditioner: weird and noisy. There is refrigerator and keurig and pods in the room- Good.
