The Neighborhood:
The house is located on a quiet, cul-de-sac in Camborne. Previously known for being one of the richest mining towns in the world, today it is a pretty Cornish town with excellent connections to St Ives and Gwithian - two sought after areas in the region. Gwithian Towans is a broad sandy beach backed by sand dunes. At low tide there is a vast amount of sand to enjoy and large areas of rock pools and caves are uncovered which are great for kids to explore. The beach is a favourite destination for surfers as the constant swell coming in from the ocean provides good all year round conditions. The Sunset Surf beachside café and bar overlooks the beach and is open all year, serving locally sourced, seasonal ingredients wherever possible. St Ives is a famous Cornish town known for its literary routes and the Tate Museum. Its collection of independent shops, cobbled side streets, charming cafes, pubs, fish shacks and restaurants make it a brilliant place to while away a day.
Hikers will love walking the South West Coastal Path, which is easily reachable from the property. One particular favourite is the St Ives to Zennor walk, which has spectacular far-reaching views of the ocean and cliffs. St Agnes is also just a 25 minute drive away, and is ideal if you want to surf, swim or sunbathe. There are ample pubs, restaurants and cafes that boast delicious food and friendly vibes.
Getting Around:
Due to the remote nature of Cornwall, a vehicle is recommended for getting around. However, should you need to use public transport, there is a small train station in Camborne. Regular trains run to and from Penzance and Exeter St Davids, which has connections to Bristol and London Paddington. Small train stations can also be found in St Ives and Cardis Bay, and there are regular trains that run to St Erth - this route is known as one of the most picturesque in the UK!
