Villa Manganelli is located near Camaiore, in La Vallina, a place rich in history, linked to the Borbone royal family. The villa takes its name from the artist Giovanni Manganelli, known as the " Water Sculptor". At the beginning of the 1970s, the illustrious Professor Giannino Forni, stepfather of the sculptor, purchased part of the La Vallina estate from Prince Borbone Parma and built the current villa there, using it as a family residence. Here the artistic activity of Maestro Manganelli began and some sculptural works are still exhibited both inside and outside the villa. Located in a residential and naturalistic context, the villa guarantees absolute privacy. At the same time, it allows guests to visit the most popular tourist destinations in Tuscany, such as the beaches of Forte dei Marmi, Pietrasanta and many others as well as being no more than twenty minutes from Pisa international airport. The refined interiors, characterised by fine furnishings, welcome guests into elegant rooms, with great attention paid to detail and, at the same time, equipped with modern comforts. The pride of the property is the large veranda, a place flooded with light, enclosed by large windows and with a view that dominates the entire garden. Inside it is exhibited the "Sfinge", the work of Maestro Manganelli, and the furnishings, in line with the rest of the villa, are elegant and refined. The veranda is therefore an elegant and comfortable setting to be enjoyed in all seasons. Villa Manganelli is the ideal solution for those wishing to spend a holiday of privacy and tranquillity without forgoing the vivacity and events offered by the most renowned nearby tourist and seaside destinations of Tuscany.
Interior:
Villa Manganelli has three floors for a total area of approximately 450 sq m. The main entrance is located on the ground floor. It is accessed through a portico furnished with sofas and adorned with three works of Maestro Manganelli: "Tuffatrice", "Nuotatrice" and "Lancillotta" while his work "Narciso" is displayed in the large entrance hall. The ground floor is composed of a double bedroom with adjoining bathroom with double entrance equipped with tub, shower and toilet, another double bedroom, with access to the garden via a French window, fireplace (ornamental) and ensuite bathroom with shower, a single bedroom, an ample closet and a large living room-study-library. From the entrance and the lounge is a corridor with stairs leading up to the first floor with the large veranda set up with living and dining areas, grand piano and study corner, with access to the garden via a French window and then down a few steps complete with banister. Also on the first floor is a large living room with dining area, TV corner with fireplace (ornamental) and a sitting area with access to the veranda via French windows, as well as the sleeping area with a single bedroom, a bathroom with tub and a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower. Continuing up the stairs from the first floor, you come to the attic floor, consisting of two large double bedrooms, one with fireplace (ornamental) and ensuite bathroom divided into two zones (shower zone and bath zone), while the other one has an ensuite bathroom with shower. Air conditioning in the bedrooms (Dyson mobile air cooler in the single bedroom on the basement floor).
Park:
The park surrounding the villa, characterised by typical Mediterranean scrub, extends over an area of approximately 10.000 sq m. From the entrance gate, a drive leads to the portico which gives access to the ground floor. The garden boasts a rich assortment of trees and plants such as oaks, olives, cypresses, firs, palms and various fruit trees (orange, lemon, apricot and many others), as well as flowering plants such as oleanders, mimosas and roses. Along the entrance drive is the golf hole (complete with starting tees, fairways, bunkers and green) against which Maestro Manganelli's monumental marble work "Delfini" forms the background. On the opposite side of the parking area, past a white wrought-iron gate, you can walk down a small slope with a railing that leads to the lower part of the garden which, bordered by tall trees and an Asian bamboo hedge guaranteeing privacy, encloses the swimming pool-solarium area and various shaded areas.
