I recently stayed at Centro Motel and unfortunately, my experience was not what I expected. Upon check-in, the receptionist was overly inquisitive, asking a lot of personal questions that felt intrusive and unnecessary. While I understand the need for hospitality, this crossed the line into discomfort. The room itself was disappointing. It wasn’t as clean as I had hoped, and there was a noticeable bad smell that lingered throughout my stay. For the price and the hotel's rating, I expected much better standards of hygiene and professionalism. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving both staff training and room maintenance. Until then, I would hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Centro is super clean and comfortable, the proprietors friendly, you can park in front of your room, and it's close to everything you need, including everything from fast food to high end dining (the walkable "Notable" restaurant). It's also a great slingshot to the mountains - right that the Calgary base of the highway to Banff and beyond.

Terrible experience! I had to leave in the middle of the night because of a room having a party above me until 2am, finally at 3am I decided to leave. The front desk person was not equipped to deal with this issue of the noise. Complaint seemed that he was in favour of them being loud in the room rather than somebody who was driving through and needed a good night rest. I was promised a refund from the front desk and the next day when I called they refused to issue me a refund. Overall terrible experience. The motel was so loud because it’s apparently made out of wood so you can literally hear everything in the room surrounding. Do yourself a favour and don’t stay here if you need a good night rest.

The gentleman that checked me in was very friendly and had excellent customer relations. I was not able to get the TV to turn on. Bed is very soft… I prefer a medium to firm bed. Temperature outside was about -13, snowfall warning, that is why I decided to stay rather than drive home. Heater ran all night and was noisy. Then I could still feel cool air in the room. So obviously poor insulation and an older building. For the price a respectable property.
