Hi, we're Mike and Julia, and we're ready to welcome you to The Palms Villa 29. Your stay includes a relaxing couples massage on the beach as our welcome gift! The privately owned and operated villa is meticulously cleaned and sanitized ahead of your arrival, and includes daily cleaning service during your stay. Please check out our reviews for the real scoop on our beautiful home in paradise!
Instead of using a property management company, we rent the villa directly and independently, and do everything from maintenance, deep cleans and even buy the soaps and consumables ourselves. We take immense pride in our home and are proud to offer you incredibly fast replies, helpful advice, and a 5-star experience that never cuts corners. The home is two stories with two bedrooms and three full baths, and finished with fine modern furnishings providing luxury and comfort in every room. The villa contains floor to ceiling double panel bi-fold doors which maximize your view of the amazing sunsets from both floors. There is also a quiet second storey balcony at the front of the home. It has two full dining areas, one indoor and one outdoor. Go out the back doors and you are less than fifty steps to the white sandy beach!

Master Suite: 1x King Bed
Guest Suite: Either 2x Twin or 1x King, plus a loft with 1x double.
We also have a brand new Queen sofa bed in the living room with black-out blinds, and a full bath on the main floor.
Due to local bylaws, the unit can sleep up to a maximum of 6 people.
Kids: The Villa offers a pack and play crib with mattress, baby blanket, baby pillows, changing pad and a baby monitor (which reaches the poolside!) We also offer several toys and board games.

The Palms has 24/7 guards, gated privacy and two pools with attractive tropical landscaping throughout the complex. The main 100ft infinity pool is great for little ones, too! There is a fully equipped gym with a beautiful ocean view. The resort offers non-motorized water sports equipment (boogie boards, masks, flippers), and the staff are glad to facilitate anything from catamaran tours to wave runners, babysitting, and more. Hot lunches and dinners is delivered by nearby Coco Loco, with breakfast offered on weekends; and there is an on-site bar serving tropical cocktails in the afternoon and at sunset. Our concierge team can even organize private sunset dinners on the beach!

If you love to cook, you'll enjoy the fully stocked kitchen, Viking appliances, and a common barbecue area that boasts brand new Weber grills with motorized rotisseries!

The villa includes fast 100 mbps wifi, Smart TVs with cable and built-in Netflix, and a free Vonage home phone line. The fees payable via VRBO cover daily cleaning and disinfection, paper products (toilet paper, paper towel and facial tissue) and bath soap/shampoo/conditioner - a true hotel-like experience!

This luxurious beach front Villa is located on the South end of the exclusive Playa Flamingo, and is THE ONLY beach front private villa complex on the gorgeous white sands of Flamingo Beach, Costa Rica's premier beach. Located on Costa Rica's northwest Pacific coast, this villa is just a fifty-five minute drive from Liberia airport, and twenty-five minutes from Tamarindo's airport. The Palms is nestled among multi-million dollar private estates near the end of a secluded cove and is renowned for its soft white sand, and clear warm ocean water. Flamingo is also home to world class sports fishing. Located just offshore, the Catalina Islands offer outstanding scuba diving. Nearby Playa Grande offers some of Costa Rica's best surfing. Beautiful golf courses, a marina, and gourmet restaurants are all conveniently located nearby.

HOT TIPS: Bakery truck comes to The Palms every Tuesday and Friday. Try the banana cake—it's amazing! As for dinner, CocoLoco is 1 min away on the beach and is a MUST. We recommend the sizzling lava rock steak. Mmmmm.

Family Trip
We had a wonderful experience with The Palms. Michael was quick to respond whenever I had a question, and the Welcome Guide that he shared after we booked was extremely helpful. When we arrived, the staff at The Palms welcomed us, gave a brief introduction to the property, answered questions and made us feel welcome. We had ordered some groceries through the concierge ahead of our visit and everything was there for us when we arrived. The unit and the property were both better than the pictures showed. We are a family of four, with 2 adult children and we had plenty of space. The beach was beautiful and though public, never very busy by the property. We also enjoyed relaxing by the pool and drinks from the pool side bar. We were able to walk to a small grocery store and to restaurants with no problem. We would highly recommend staying here and hope to return someday!

Perfect Beach Getaway
This villa was perfect for two couples. It had everything we needed and the concierge team of The Palms was excellent. They made several reservations for us and checked in to see if we needed anything. All the staff was very attentive. The pool and beach were only steps from the back glass doors. Would definitely rent this villa again if we make it back to Playa Flamingo or the area.

Have to start off with the communication prior to the stay - Mike and Julia and then the concierge team at the palms were amazing to deal with. Our first time in Costa Rica so we had lots of questions and they were a pleasure to deal with - super attentive and offered lots of great suggestions on things to do etc. The location, we travel quite a bit and the beach here is one of the best we have ever been on. We swam and lounged every day to what was 10 days of perfect weather. The excursions booked by the concierge team did not disappoint - horseback riding on the beach, deep sea fishing and zip lines - the entire family had an amazing time. The villa was the best part of the trip - steps to the beach - fully appointed with gorgeous views. We wished we could have stayed even one more day Cannot wait to return if we are lucky enough.

Great Place - Right on the Beach
First family trip to Costa Rica and we wanted to stay at a "nice place on the beach". I did a lot of research and can tell you this is it. This place is literally a 50 foot walk out the patio door to a fabulous very large beach area. Also has a private pool right beside it as well. The best part it wasn't crowded - it felt like you had the place to like to your own with just a few others. The condo itself is very nice and clean and has everything you would want for amenities. It is in a gated community with a large amount of staff, cleaning, and a 24 concierge and you simply message with anything you want--recommendations or restaurant reservations. Staff was great - pastry/bread truck came in one morning! It's part of a larger condo complex and there were many other US/CAD families there vacationing with kids as well. We enjoyed meeting and talking with them. We have traveled a lot as family and we would definitely book this again.

Playa Flamingo - A Fantastic Family Getaway
My family and I enjoyed a beautiful week-long stay at the Palms Villa 29. The welcoming atmosphere and incredible views were second to none. From waking up to gentle ocean sounds and fresh Costa Rican coffee, to returning each day to a peaceful, climate controlled home, the villa met our needs and surpassed our expectations at every turn. Our time at Playa Flamingo was greatly enhanced by the exceptional staff; each member courteous and collected, while ready at a moment’s notice to improve our stay in any way possible. An amazing vacation!
It was even better than the pictures! The place was immaculate and the kitchen was stocked with everything you need. There was four of us and we had plenty of room. The decor is great and modern and the beds were very comfortable. The pool was amazing and the beach was steps away. We got to watch amazing sunsets from the backyard. The gym made you want to workout with the spectacular view. The condo provided kayaks and other water activities, which my son enjoyed. We can’t wait to return.

Could not be better
This is the place to stay in Flamingo. Everything is perfect from location to amenities. The property itself is gorgeous and ocean front with a pool and private bar. There is a full kitchen, smart TV, excellent wifi, and helpful concierge. There is daily housekeeping as well. We booked everything through the concierge who is available 24/7 and it could not have been simpler. Whether you're traveling as a couple or a family, this is definitely the spot.

Outstanding Beachfront Condo
We planned our first trip to Costa Rica with another couple. Staying at the Palms 29 really made the trip. We stayed a few days on either side of our 6 night stay elsewhere and wish we had been at the Palms 29 the whole time. The view of the beach is even better than the photos. The condo is stocked with all you need, beds are comfortable, furniture beautiful and comfortable, and outdoor area very well maintained. The staff couldn’t be more gracious and accommodating. Owners were gracious and patient with our questions and offered great suggestions. If you want to do excursions book through the concierge they did a great job. We will definitely be back as it was too enjoyable to only do once!

Sunset paradise in Costa Rica
From the moment of booking, throughout our entire stay, communication with Mike and Julia was excellent. Once we arrived at the Palms Villa 29 everything was perfect. We were met by the staff who greeted us and provided 5 star service throughout our stay, with daily housekeeping, concierge service, towel service and grounds keeping. The villa itself was comfortable and beautifully furnished, with everything one could possibly need for an extended stay. The online pictures do not do the villa or the views proper justice. Our party of four absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be back.

Paradise On the Beachfront
Owners were absolutely outstanding, staff at the Condo were unbelievable and immediate responses to any questions or concerns, concierge assures all details for dinners or transportation are accurate. The condo was impeccable, with thought to every detail, including added amenities and products not listed on the rental agreement. The grounds and beach are the best in Costa Rica boasting clean white sand, lovely lounging chairs with umbrellas, flowers, palm trees, very safe for walking, running, swimming and close to grocery, restaurants, liquor, snacks, marina and activities. Finish the day with outstanding sunsets right from your balcony. There is no question this is a property to return to in the future. SERENE BEACHFRONT PARADISE
Villa 29 is absolutely perfect! The Palms is a magical, secluded, peaceful place. The villa itself is stunning, immaculate and spacious, with high-end, very comfortable furnishings. Luxury kitchen appliances, wet bar, coffee bar in the bedroom - Mike and Julia have thought of everything. Its location in the complex is ideal: closer to the pool and beach, with beautiful sunset views from the patio, living room, and primary bedroom and balcony. We loved the tropical garden walkway to the villa, and our daughter and son-in-law enjoyed the privacy of the second bedroom balcony and lush foliage. The grounds, pools and beach are pristine. Service is excellent. 24 hr. security, gate guard, concierge, staff, Anthony at the pool bar, housekeeping, and Janet for beach massages - everyone is exceptional. Owners are welcoming and friendly. We shared many spectacular sunsets, tropical drinks in hand, at the infinity edge pool and beach. We took advantage of the grocery delivery service and had groceries and wine delivered prior to arrival to get us through the first day. Highly recommend Chef Leo who prepared a fantastic private dinner in our villa: best ceviche on the planet, delicious surf and turf, and amazing Bananas Foster prepared tableside. Beachfront Coco Loco next door has great food and vibes, and also delivers to The Palms. Mike was incredibly responsive, ever-so-patient, and super helpful ahead of time answering questions and providing golf, surf lessons, restaurant and car rental recommendations. The Palms and Villa 29 is the best beachfront property in Hawaii, Mexico, and the Caribbean that we've visited. We rarely return to the same place twice, and now we cannot imagine going anywhere else. Back soon! Thank you, Mike and Julia!

Excellent property and stay!
Everything with this property was fantastic! Upon arrival, it was incredibly clean with orchids and fancy folded towels placed throughout the villa. ALL staff at The Palms were super kind, friendly, and helpful including the groundskeepers. (In fact, one evening a turtle came up onto the beach to nest, and one of the night groundsmen saw our light on and knocked on the door to tell us how to watch them and to not use a flash.) There were supposedly more families with young children due to the holiday break, but we never heard a sound from either family or outside while inside the villa. It was very peaceful and you could only hear the crashing of the waves from the ocean, which is what we wanted. While there isn't a restaurant on the private-residences-property, Coco Loco is located right next door providing delivery all day long; just order using What's App to #29! Having never been to Costa Rica before, it was very helpful to do a video chat with the property owner who gave us information about local car rental and the concierge at The Palms. We were there over New Year's Eve and the party, fireworks over the beach, and fire dancers were incredible. The setup for the catered dinner (which we paid extra for) was beautiful, if not a bit magical. (Just know that the Margaritaville Hotel at the other end of the beach also had a NYE party, BUT they CLOSED the entire pool area off the entire day for all guests, and that end of the beach was already jam-packed with locals who camped out for the holiday weekend. ) There is also a new Brit Cafe' and an ice cream shop at the brand new buildings (both only open for one month in Dec 2022) at the Flamingo Marina that were both fantastic for morning coffee/pastries and evening dessert. Plus, there is also an ATM there that will dispense both US dollars and CR colones. We felt we found a true gem at The Palms with this property and hope to come back!

The most amazing place!
The Palms is our absolute favorite place to visit in Costa Rica, and Villa 29 is one of the best positioned villas to beach. Mike and Julia were very accommodating and added to our experience. Good luck finding a better beach with the view and privacy of Flamingo.

Amazing vacation at the Palms on Playa Flamingo!
We had such an incredible trip to Costa Rica and staying at the Palms was absolute perfection. The villa itself is immaculate and its location could not be better. Being literally steps from the beach and pool was like being in paradise. The beach - what can I say? I've been all over the world and Playa Flamingo was the best - the sand felt like sugar and the waves were big and fun to play in. The Palms was perfect and not crowded at all (of course we went in the off season). Several amazing restaurants are close by and delicious. Mike was especially attentive to answer all of my questions - you could not ask for a better host. A big thanks for having Stanley help with our car rental - I've been to Costa Rica several times and we've always had huge problems with the car rental (they quote you one price and then when you show up its hundreds of dollars more). Not with Stanley - the very fair price he quoted for the car rental was exactly what was charged. We especially ejoyed the complimentary couples massage on the beach. A couple of tips - we used credit cards everywhere which was very convenient, but most places would not take American Express (only Visa). We wish would have taken bug spray. This was such a memorable trip thanks to Mike and Julia and their amazing villa at the Palms. We will definitely be coming back.

Loved Playa Flamingo!
First time staying in Playa Flamingo and we truly enjoyed our stay. Walking out on grass right to the beach was great. Having a VRBO house feel but having all the amenities of the pool, water toys, guard, and local restaurant being able to deliver to the villa was a big plus. Great for families and even though you are sharing the grounds it was never crowded.
