Room is not what it says it is in the ad. No way more than two people can stay there. Bedding uncomfortable and not appropriate for 4 people. Terrible service. Would not answer calls or texts. We left for a night and came back to someone else in our room who booked it for two nights. Extremely disappointed and horrified at this property and their dodgy ways. Refused to give us a refund. Made numerous complaints to Wotif. AVOID

The outdoor bath area didn’t look as appealing as the pictures, but overall was a nice property. Loved the easy access to the beach.

I booked this property as it advertised "free self onsite self parking." When I received the check-in details I was advised that the room that I had booked had no on site parking and I would have to park on the street. As I was travelling between Melbourne and Brisbane with a carload of expensive sailing gear this was the scenario that I had been trying to avoid. False advertising so be aware, only some units have designated on site parking, others do not!!! Other then that the unit was OK, simple, clean and good for a stop over.

Construction sites next door
Two construction sites next to the property, we were woken up just after 7am both mornings with loud music and construction tools which went on the whole day. I feel prospective customers should be informed of such things prior to making the decision to rent. When we saw the construction sites on arrival we would have cancelled if not for the "no cancellation" policy of the property.

Perfect for a quiet and private night away.

OK, but could do with a refresh!
Lovely place, but could do with a little TLC. Just small things, but when you are paying these sorts of prices, I believe it's important that the small things are taken care of. Another concern was our 'complementary toiletries' were not new. A couple of the tubes had already had the protective seal removed. This led me to believe it was used by previous guests, and reused. Those little touches and attention to detail is the difference between 3-4* to 5*. I would probably chose to stay somewhere else if we go back to Byron Bay. On a positive note, the location was fantastic, with direct access to the beach. We did have to walk across an unused train line, and then thick scrub (well worn path though), which was a little scary!!! I would want to walk through there at night!
