Great location, breakfast not much to offer.
The hotel is in a great location for access to the best parts of Budapest. The breakfast was average, not much choice and fairly bland. The aircon in our room was very welcome and the shower was a great size.

Convenient location
Quiet, clean, attractive room with comfortable bed and clean modern bathroom on the 6th floor. Convenient location. Short walking distance to Nyugati train station and Budapest Metro. Buffet-style breakfast was very good, convenient and worth the price.

Comfort and convenience
Location is great - area is quiet , close to public transport without the noise. Staff were helpful. Room was clean, but air conditioner a bit noisy and inefficient. It was great value for money but the parking charge was a bit high. I would stay there again if I have the opportunity.

I wouldn't avoid this hotel
I liked the location and the underground car park is brilliant. The room was a good size as was the bathroom with good toiletries. Breakfast was good and it had a good start time. Staff spoke good english and were nice and helpful. The bed, bedding and pillows did not suit me. I thought they were uncomfortable. I lost an item and looked under beds and behind drawers, areas that were lacking in the cleaning department. Otherwise i would stay again

The air conditioning did not work and it made the loudest noisy all day and night! You were also able to hear sounds from other rooms, the hotel tried to mask it by playing music in the hallway but it didn’t work.

Good points: Check in staff very welcoming. Good location - walking distance to metro, tram and some main city sights (Budapest is beautiful!). Kettle, tea/coffee and fridge provided. Not so good: Mattress was very worn - one side of the bed completely caved in and very uncomfortable. No mattress protector so felt less clean. Towels very small and a bit worn. Room quite warm and air conditioning not very powerful. Attention to detail poor - broken shower hose, soap in bathroom not refilled (completely empty). Be aware when booking the Expedia uncheckes the breakfast add on if you select a non-refundable rate. This meant that despite thinking I had paid the extra for breakfast (had selected the add on), the hotel did not have record of this and wanted more money than it would have been pre-booking. Expedia denied this. I therefore went elsewhere for breakfast.

Noisy hotel
The room was unbearably warm upon check-in. After my complaint, the young man at the desk offered me a fan for the room which I gratefully accepted. The noise coming into the room from outside was the loud voices of people. At one point I was wondering if there was an insane asylum next door. This yelling, loud shouting , and children’s tantrums really marred my stay.

Great value hotel in a really good location.
Rooms are comfortable clean and spacious with plenty of room for storage. Reception staff are friendly and efficient. Rooms are maintained daily. Breakfast is great with plenty to choose. Location is brilliant. I’ve stayed here twice now and would definitely recommend it.

The front reception staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is located in an area where you can walk to many tourist sites, cafes, and shopping areas. 10/10. So, the room was not clean, the toilet had a paper seal that it was cleaned. I removed it and the bowl had poop, and urine drippings on the seat and hair. The shower has green something on the tile and glass doors. The towels were about 15 years old, and we're very stained. The sheets were very old and thinning out. The bed cover and decorative pillows were torn and also old. They could not hold the shape. I removed them off the bed. The walls had markings on it, all over. The refrigerator had old crumbs inside and it was dirty. The safe in the room was not secured to the wall or anyplace, you could pick it up and walk away with it. The bolt to the door was missing, a hole in the door. I debated leaving, however we had so much luggage and had already began to unpack. I'm sure if I would have notified the front desk they would have taken care of the issues but I didn't want to be the type of guest that complains. At the same time I could have given them the opportunity to clean the room. The hotel is nice, perfect location. I do recommend staying here, but do check your room before settling in.

The staff at the hotel couldn't do enough for you, each and eveyone was lovely. The room was lovely, but had a damp smell (which you only smell upon entering the room) We also had a leak in the bathroom ceiling which may have explained the smell (as it didn't look new) However, would not stop me staying at the hotel again or even putting a bad review in as other that that, I could not fault the hotel or it's staff. Breakfast was lovely, it was a bout a 20 minute walk from the city centre, but again, this didn't put me off the location, as it was a nice walk and the bus stops were near by too! I can reccommend Matula Bistro accross the road, a lovely little bistro and reasonably priced too! Would strongly reccommend this hotel to others and Budapest in itself.

Great location for train station. Easy walk to Parliament, Margaret Island and river. Also not too far from main areas of the city. We were there for the Christmas markets, which were interesting and enjoyable. The weekend was very busy. Our room was clean, beds were comfortable, the bathroom was a little dated but the hot shower was great. There was plenty of food for breakfast. Staff were helpful and friendly.
