£125 for a night gave me: - Messy room, the soap/shampoo bottles full of dust, hair on the bed, some rubbish under the table. I came so tired (18h of traveling) to the hotel to find out the receptionist is nowhere. Had to wait 5 minutes, but trust me, it’s annoying when you have few bags and you are after a long trip. I also forgot the charger head to my phone( my fault), not enough they had no charger but the receptionist couldn’t even recommend where to go and buy one(it was 8pm at evening). eventually i went to some corner shop where they directed me to the right place and i managed to buy one. Also, the room smelt very weird, kinda like a cheep male perfume, i had to open the windows. My room also was next to the staff cleaner room so it was loud at morning. I would not chose this hotel again,not for £125. there are plenty of better choices for cheaper price

Great price for what i was after. Only wanted a 3 star hotel because i was only there to sleep. Nice and tidy, reception staff were nice and helpful and i would definitely go back

The hotel is in a good location, but, the rooms aren’t soundproof so you can hear your neighbours and the walking , running & dancing in the rooms and hallways above. No coffee in the rooms. The hotel is charging 19 euros for breakfast, ridiculous . It’s half that in London, Rome & Athens . It’s much cheaper if you pay on the booking site, or go around the corner and pay 8 euros for a hot breakfast.

Great hotel with great room. Room was clean, spacious, bed was comfortable.The staff was very helpful. The hotel is well situated with trendy restaurants/cafes at close proximity, walkable distances to some main attractions, metro stops easily accessible.

Great location and hotel to stay for a short period of time. Bathroom was clean however found stains, holes and hair on the bedsheets. It’s good enough to just sleep and shower. Staff are very kind. Lobby area is nice to relax with group of friends.

Nice stay, good hotel.
Perfectly adequate for a solo-travelling female. I got a quite room facing the inner yard, which offred a natural morning alarm due to the school kids.

The sliding door of the shower kept sliding back, couldn't have a proper shower. Asked staff to fix it on the second day, didn't fix it. Only staying for 2 nights so I just put up with it without asking the staff for help again. Overall, the room was clean and the hotel was safe. Scenic spots in Budapest are basically all packed in the city centre and therefore transport from the hotel was convenient. Staff offered luggage storage after check out for travellers who have flights later in the day. Would recommend staying at Dormero due to the above reasons but make sure to check the sliding door of the shower first after check-in.

I stay in this hotel quite often for 1 night stopovers in Budapest. In general, I like location and overall experience for good price however there is always something to improve to grow higher. For example, this time I received card key which didn’t work when I tried to open the room upon arrival after 8 hours exhausting trip and had to go downstairs again to change it. Then all night there was some noise from pipes or elsewhere else that didn’t let me sleep well. The cleaning in general is good. Location is very good. Staff is friendly.

Rooms are really nice, very modern and very comfortable beds, clean and free drinks in the fridge on arrival. However, the walls, floors and doors are very thin so you can hear everything, above and around you, we could hear someone snoring and people speaking, as well as someone cleaning a room above us. The service was great, they even have 4 pugs! We didn’t do breakfast due to it being very expensive per day, per person at a price of €19. Unsure as to why I could not change a free beer from the fridge to an apple juice bottle, as we both do not drink alcohol, the receptionist was slightly rude about this and did not try to accommodate, I understand it was free anyway but it was a quick and easy simply swap, especially as she put the beer back into the fridge behind her as we did not want it! The aircon needs cleaning as well, dust was left around the rims of our glasses if left on throughout the day, we’d wake up with dry mouths and noses in the morning.

Modern, Clean, Good Location
Modern and clean hotel in a good location (10mins walk from Basilica). Hotel was very clean and had security to ensure only guests can enter the building and elevators. Reception was friendly and there are free drinks in the mini bar which was a pleasant surprise. The bed was comfortable, soft pillows, and good climate control in room. Shower and bathrooms were brand new and very good size. Overall, this was a very good stay, the price was very cheap considering the quality of the hotel.

Great stay and worth the money.
Everything was great about this hotel. We had read a few reviews about staff but we found everyone nothing but extremely helpful. The room was great, comfy and exceptionally clean. The only reason we did not give the full 5 star rating was that they only ever had one person on the reception. This was fine for some of the time but if like us you needed anything when a coach load arrives, you will be waiting an hour + to speak with anyone. Our friends who joined us the following day waited over an hour to check in as there was just the one person. Apart from that literally everything was great. Would definitely return.
