Bedroom: Queen Bed | Loft: 1 Twin Pullout Bed

Nestled in the Nantahala National Forest at the end of a winding road lies ‘Heart of the Mountain.’ With no nearby neighbors and views for miles, this private cabin invites you to discover the simplicity and solitude of Smoky Mountain living.

A 2-story wall of windows accentuates the vaulted ceilings in the great room, making the spacious interior even more expansive. Cozy up on the leather sofa set in front of the stacked stone fireplace and flat-screen satellite TV, complete with a mini component audio system, Bluetooth connectivity and a DVD player.

Prepare a tasty treat in the fully equipped kitchen and serve your creation at the classic wood dining table. If barbecue is more your flavor and al fresco dining is more your scene, utilize the gas grill and outdoor seating found on the wraparound deck.

After a day of adventures in Deep Creek National Park, give your sore muscles a break in the hot tub before stargazing around the fire pit.

When the evening chill starts to creep in, retreat inside and take the spiral staircase up to the sleeping loft offering 2 twin pullout beds. A pocket door connects the great room to the bedroom, highlighted by natural wood furnishings, including an artisan headboard and rocker, along with a satellite TV and convenient bathroom access.

Take the night off from cooking and check out the local fare in Bryson City, only 15 minutes from ‘Heart of the Mountain.’ Enjoy a comforting meal at the historic Fryemont Inn or Everett Street Diner, go for a margarita and Mexican favorites at Guayabitos Restaurant, or get a taste of the Southern-inspired classics at Bojangles’ Famous Chicken ‘n Biscuits.

For a unique view of the city’s mountainous landscape, take a ride on the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad! Other area attractions worth trying include trout fishing in designated areas along the Tuckasegee River and rafting on the Nantahala River.

Further your outdoor experience over at the Nantahala Outdoor Center offering guided whitewater rafting trips, zip lining adventures and so much more.

Nice cabin
The house was nice. We enjoyed our stay there, as it was close to a lot of things in town. We rode the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad while in town and that was a lot of fun.

Beautiful cabin but difficult road
The Cabin was beautiful, with beautiful views of the mountains. Very quiet at night to sleep. The internet reception is poor, only working when you are on the cabin's porch. Also, the garbage you create has to be disposed of in town; the renter(s) can not access the garbage bin due to wild animals in the area. (We did not witness any wild animals). The road leading up to the cabin is tough to access, and in inclement weather, I believe we would have been stuck at the cabin. A twisting turning road; that was difficult to maneuver on (looked more like a driveway) that was not listed on the rental page. We never tried the road in the dark because of no lights and the difficulty of accessing and maneuvering the road. We could not reach the property managers via phone. Even though beautiful, we will not rent it again.

Secluded mountain getaway
We loved our stay at this cozy cabin. The cabin was immaculate and the views were beautiful. The pictures represent the house very well - in fact I think it was even nicer than we expected! I would definitely suggest arriving before dark if possible as the road leading to the house is very steep and windy. The firepit was great and the hot tub was a very welcome respite after a long day of hiking. Our only minor issues were that we couldn't get the gas fireplace pilot to light and that we were unable to stream movies at night on the TV as there's no access to Netflix, Prime, etc. The WiFi is spotty but we were able to stream over our laptop. Other than that, everything was perfect and we would love to return.

6 night stay
The online listing mentioned nothing about the property .3 miles straight up a gravel/paved single driveway. Thankfully we brought our 4x4 truck as it rained for 5 days. The internet was spotty at best and we never asked management as I’m sure there’s nothing they could do. During our downtime, we had to purchase movies from the local grocery store due to the limited channels on the provided television service. Overall, we enjoyed the seclusion but these are a few of what we feel would increase a couples duration.

Great mountain getaway
My husband and I stayed for a long weekend and had a great time! The cabin was cozy and clean. Wi-fi and cell service was spotty, but we didn't mind. The hot tub was wonderful. I do recommend bringing camp chairs for the fire pit as the stone benches weren't very comfortable. It is convenient to downtown Bryson City, Cherokee, and the white water rafting outfitters. I would definitely recommend this rental!

We enjoyed the location and the peacefulness of the cabin. It was great! Make sure you bring all of the necessary stuff for cooking and grilling. There wasn't much to work with as far as that's concerned. It was definitely a great getaway and we would have loved to spend more time there.

What an amazing getaway for the weekend. The pictures were exactly spot on to describe the house. Perfect for just me and my wife. Only downfall was the hot tub would not stay warm, probably a weak heat element. Highly recommend to others and will be back soon for another relaxing stay.

Great Cabin Experience
The location was outstanding, the views were quite beautiful, especially the sunsets over the mountain tops. Having a working Hot Tub added that much more to the experience. Aside from the crazy rough roadways, mildly confusing online directions, lack of streetlights and daunting mini craters in the gravel paved road to the cabin, my partner and I had so much fun.

Lovely Getaway for 2
The cabin was quaintly small, but perfect for just 2 people. The views were very nice, and there were tons of windows and natural light. We even spotted a deer near the house! The cabin was very clean and fresh without any smells (which is a great thing if you’re sensitive to scents and/or mold like me). The road was steep, but we managed. I wouldn’t go up there in the snow without 4-wheel drive. As they suggest, arrive before dark. Our visit was in December, and the outside temp got into the 20’s at night. The wall mounted heat/AC unit combined with the gas fireplace heated the open main room/kitchen/loft areas well enough if cranked all the way up, but left the bedroom and bathroom a bit chilly. The loft area provided a warm reading area with nice views. The kitchen was well supplied with non-stick pots and pans, basic items needed for baking, a coffee maker with filters and a can of Maxwell House coffee, sugar, salt, and pepper. There was also a blender, coffee/spice grinder, and tea kettle. They provided 2 dishwasher tabs, dish soap, 2 laundry tabs, 2 rolls of paper towels, and 2 rolls of TP, a tiny travel sized shampoo, conditioner and some small bar soaps. The hotub and grill both worked well. My only big complaint was the very very slow, sometimes nonexistent internet connection. I believe the internet was satellite based, and went out altogether when it was cloudy. There were 2 TVs with DirectTV, but there was no way to stream shows or connect to services such as Netflix. We had 1 bar of cell service with AT&T. There was a nice speaker system/radio/CD player on the mantle to that connected to my phone wirelessly to play music. Overall, a very good getaway.

Just okay
1. The neighborhood was not great. 2. No view of the mountains. 3. Bathroom curtain near shower does not cover window. The nearby cabin can see right in. 4. The Outdoor trash can was full from previous renters and had maggots. We did not bother the agents because we discovered this on July 4. We hauled off the trash except for the last day because our car was full. 5. The bed was very comfortable but the pull out was not. 6. The furniture is nice And updated as well as the appliances. It is probably time for new pots and pans. 7. This is a great place if you are an active couple who are spending a great deal of time in the outdoors. The WI-FI is slow and the cell service is poor. We contacted the agents after our stay and they never bothered to call us back.
