From the sheer amount of positive reviews for this hotel, it made it a no brainer to book for our night in Bruges. The location is great, not too touristy or busy but easy enough to get the main parts of Bruges. But, I will say while overall it was good, it was honestly just good. For being a small luxury hotel you kind of expect/hope for it being more than good. The doors have no soundproofing so we got to hear the conversations of everyone who walked past which while it was off season didn’t cause too much disruption, it was still a bother. As for cleanliness, the room on the surface looks clean, but the nespresso and cups had dust and dirt in them, and the pillows and sheets on top were clean (the silk cover was a nice touch) but when you peel them back finding stains of all sorts kind of ruins the charm. As for the staff, I think we maybe checked in on a slow night or something. It was all a bit much, like too much almost me on the verge of going could you just let me get to my room. The kicker for me which knocked the staff down was that as a guest I really really really do not want to hear staff gossiping about guests in not an exactly quiet way. The staff in the morning were pleasant and nice but again we were just checking out so it was a quick interaction. Overall, when we come back it won’t be a ‘we have to go back there’ instead more of let’s see where else is available.

Wonderful hospitality and staff so so helpful, perfect breakfast, and for my early breakfast needs, made me coffee. Room great and overlooked the canal. Did not get a chance but the owner will even give a tour of any part of the city you wish. Great pride of ownership. Very very nice.

The location of this property was fantastic as it was on a quiet street just off the main. As far as cleanliness, our room was clean, but our bathroom was not in due to a large clog of hair in the shower. I flooded the bathroom floor. Not exactly the way I wanted to start off the first hour of our visit. Our room itself had a very undesirable location. We weren’t even inside the hotel proper. And I was told that was because I did not book it directly with the hotel. The people who work there were very nice I just feel that I Wasn’t given adequate information about the room that we were Reserving. Expedia needs to do a better job of that explanation I never felt unsafe But I also never really felt like we were part of the hotel. I thought the lounge was very nice, Quiet and relaxing. After the bathroom flooding incident, no Adjustments were made To our bill.

Lovely but perfumed
The room was lovely, but they sprayed perfume in it and on the bedding. It smelled so strong that I ended up trying to figure out where it was sprayed and stuck all the smelly items in the hall in the middle of the night and tried to sleep with a window open. That meant to 6 am garbage collection woke me. I’d stay again as they fixed it night two, but I’d tell them not to perfume the room before arriving. Hotel staff is fantastic and location can’t be beat.

The hotel was very nice boutique style, exceptional service throughout our stay. The room we stayed in had a view of the canal and a small terrace you could sit out on. Breakfast was great and the decor throughout was lovely. Only criticism was the occasion smell of sewage / dirty water, think being an older building by the canal we occasionally had some bad smells otherwise we had a brilliant time in Brugge.

This property was so lovely. The decor was beautiful and the room was so big. The entire staff were so friendly and helpful. We were well taken care of the entire time we were there. We enjoyed everything from the delicious breakfast to start our day to nightcaps in the lounge. It was such a great stay.
