The inn is being renovated so the area immediately around the inn is messy. It is very convenient that there are two restaurants right by the inn, one is in the inn. We ate at both these restaurants and they were good. There is also a great coffee shop that serves breakfast and lunch across the street from the inn. It is dog friendly and there is a good road to work dogs on (Bruce Bay Road). I would stay here again.

I was travelling by boat and arrived at the nearby City Marina. I arrived around lunch time and check-in wasn't until 4 pm. Max, the manager, moved my room ahead on the cleaning schedule while I went to the excellent restaurant next door for lunch. The clean room itself was great for me travelling by myself. The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot. It was a cool night so I only used the heat. There was a microwave and small fridge. What I really liked is that I scheduled another stay here after completing my boat trip around the North Channel. I came into the marina again around noon. I went to the Inn just to let them know I was there, planning to go get lunch and do some work on the boat. Max told me my room was ready! He remembered my name and intentionally kept that room clean and vacant the night before anticipating that I would arrive early again. And Max gave me a small discount for returning so soon.

Interior was nice and newly updated. The staff was quick to assist. Exterior of building needs updating and more lighting but people are respectful and area was safe. No amenities just a place to rest. Bar grill attached was nice.

Walls were scuffed and dirty. There was a used facial tissue and some plastic packaging discarded under one of the beds. The curtains were worn and ripped, one of the lamps was falling apart potentially exposing bare wires and there was no security chain on the door. The photos on the website look nice but the room we were in was awful.

The room was musty, there was an empty water bottle behind the bedside unit. The sink taps don't work. Outside: FIRE ALARM INOPERABLE. Exposed electrical wiring. No permits posted. The staffs command of English is very poor

Renovation materials lying around the place. Restaurant poor. Room accessible only with key. Bathroom very small and toilet seat unsecured. Stained carpet. Damaged headboard. Also, when I tried to cancel 48 hours before checking in was told by hotel owner and Expedia that 72-hour notification required. This reflects badly on the hotel and Expedia.

Not great for those staying with young families. The bar underneath played super loud music all night. The exterior of the building had no siding on it which was sketchy. We stayed in a renovated room. The room was ok. Clean. However there was no lamp so the main overhead was all we had. There was also no top sheet on the bed, just a comforter. The bathroom fan was super noisy and there were a few fixtures in the bathroom that appeared to be unfinished. The only positive was that the location was really great in the summer. A short walk to the marina, a little playground, walkable to an okay restaurant and ice cream parlour across the street.

The manager was very nice, they accommodated our dog. The room itself was also very nice and they are working on the exterior of the building, which definitely needs some attention. I did not care for the stairs, or that there was only one set to go up and down in the weather. We were also given a room with an adjoining suite that was locked. We could hear a lot of noise through that door from the other guests, noises that our kids definitely did not need to hear. Make sure you don’t have an attached suite to your room, unless you have a large party and rent the other room. The area is safe and close to a coffee shop, park and restaurants, so that was good. Overall, except for the other guests and thin walls, our stay was fine for a night on our way to our destination.
