Welcome to Hochatown in Fall with Mockingbird Hill Cabin, your perfect hideaway tucked among the towering hardwoods that reach for the sky! We were lucky to stumble upon this serene woodland sanctuary, and we’ve designed a retreat that blends luxury with the playful charm of a treehouse and stunning scenic views.

"Please note: The road to our property has recently been resurfaced with brand-new concrete, making the drive smooth and easy. There is no need for a 4x4 vehicle, as the road no longer gets muddy. Guests have arrived without any issues in regular cars and small SUVs"

Picture yourself starting the day with a warm cup of coffee, surrounded by the peaceful whispers of the forest. Later, unwind by the cozy fireplace, watching the stars twinkle above. With both upper and lower decks, you'll have plenty of inviting spaces to relax, enjoy the view, and create lasting memories with loved ones. We can’t wait to welcome you!

THE KITCHEN

The kitchen is fully equipped and designed for both style and convenience, featuring a stunning large island with a waterfall countertop. Modern appliances, including a microwave, toaster, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, Keurig machine, and electric range, make it a dream for any cook.

We’ve thoughtfully stocked the space with dishes, drinkware, and quality pots and pans to ensure you feel spoiled during your stay. The live edge kitchen table comfortably seats six, while the island offers additional seating for five, making it the perfect spot for gathering and sharing meals.

THE LIVING AREAS

On the main level, just off the kitchen, you’ll find a cozy living room featuring a stunning stone fireplace, comfortable seating, and a large SmartTV—perfect for relaxing after a day of adventure.
Downstairs, there's a spacious game room where the whole family can gather for some fun and friendly competition. With plenty of room to play and unwind, it's the ideal spot for creating joyful memories together.

• NOTE: Our TVs are Smart TVs so that you can log in with your account and watch your shows via your favorite apps.

THE OUTDOOR SPACE

The outdoor living space at Mockingbird Hill is truly remarkable! In addition to the cabin’s 1,800 sq. ft. of air-conditioned comfort, there are over 1,400 sq. ft. of covered deck space to enjoy. The dual-deck layout creates inviting areas for both adults and kids to have a great time. The lower covered deck is equipped with a gas fireplace, a ping pong table, cornhole boards, and plenty of seating for everyone to relax.
For the ultimate blend of comfort and luxury, slip into the deck's hot tub and soak your cares away. Surrounded by nature’s tranquility, it’s the perfect spot to unwind and create unforgettable memories with your loved ones

The upstairs covered deck includes another fireplace, a comfortable lounge area, outdoor dining for six, plus incredible treehouse views of the surrounding area.

Inside, the cabin features yet another fireplace in the main living room. With dramatic high ceilings and a modern, open concept, the cabin is sophisticated-yet-comfortable. High-end appliances and luxury linens and appointments ensure a comfortable stay.

Welcome to the "wasp season" from November to December and early spring! During chilly nights and early mornings, followed by warm days, wasps tend to gather on rooftops in search of warmth. While it doesn't necessarily mean there's a wasp nest in the house, they are essentially in hibernation mode, seeking cozy spots.

Generally, they won't bother you much, but we kindly ask you to keep the cabin doors and windows shut to prevent them from entering. Just a heads-up: there's wasp spray conveniently located under the kitchen sink in case you need it, but do not spray over the furniture!

Stay buzz-free and enjoy your time in the cabin!

Please note that this is a forested area and there are times when the Oklahoma Forestry Service enforces a burning ban in the area. Fines can be upwards of $1000. Please check online for the current burn ban status before using the outdoor firepit.

We felt cared for
This was our first trip without my husband who passed away last year and my boys and I felt well cared for during our stay. Nick was easy to get a hold of and very considerate to check on us throughout our stay. There were tornado warnings in the area as we made our way to the cabin first night and Nick gave me call to warn us. I'm thankful for that. The cabin itself is everything the pictures show and MORE. The bathrooms were well stocked and my five boys enjoyed the bunks which were very roomy. I felt safe with how secure the sliding door locked upstairs and my oldest liked his private room downstairs, and how lighting wasn't harsh. We were thankful for the extra touches like toiletries, flashlights, and snacks! Due to bad weather on our way there we didn't stop to eat so that was a sweet surprise. It's an easy access from the main road to town with good shops and cafe's along the way. We went during the off-season so some activities were not available but my boys and I prefer it that way. Our time was blessed and huge THANK YOU to Nick and Stacey for creating a space that helped bring some healing and good memories for my boys and I. You thought of everything.

Fabulous Forest Cabin!
What a beautiful treehouse-inspire home nestled in the middle of so many gorgeous trees and hills! We had everything we needed for our impromptu weekend-get-away. The house is warm, welcoming, and clean. Our favorite spot has to be the upper porch where we watched TV and ate popcorn in front of a roaring fire late into the evening hours. The kitchen and bathrooms are clean and fully stocked, and the owner even called to check that the Wi-Fi was working properly. We appreciate the attention to detail and the "extras" like Starburst candy hidden in cute little jars in practically every room of the house. The college kids and teen enjoyed the bunkroom/gameroom downstairs, while my husband and I enjoyed the master suite upstairs off the kitchen. Truly, thank you for your hospitality!

Great cabin in a great location
This was our first trip to the Broken Bow area and we were not disappointed. The cabin was great. It was ready on time and spotlessly clean. It was stocked with everything we needed. The kitchen had nice dishes and pots and pans, not the usual goodwill odds and ends that most places have. We were 3 adults, 2 tween kids and 2 dogs. The kids loved the bunk room and having their own space. The decks were amazing and spacious. We played ping pong (badly). The beds were very comfortable, lots of pillows and extra blankets. The hosts were very nice and proactively checked in with us. The location was great. It was so quiet and felt remote but was only a few minutes from the main road and the state park and all the stuff you want to be near. We even got a flat tire on one of our cars and the road side assistance arrived within an hour and changed the tire. Definitely recommend this cabin and would stay here again for sure.

THIS IS THE BEST CABIN IN BROKEN BOW!
I cannot say enough about how awesome this place was! The most beautiful cabin. The pictures don’t do it justice cause once you pull up, you are in awe of how massive it looks from the outside. It’s like staying in a tree house because of the deck views it has. We saw deer and heard lots of wildlife around us. It’s very close to town but still enough into the woods that gives you that true camping feeling. If you like luxury while camping for a fair cost, THIS IS THE CABIN FOR YOU! The owners are very nice and communicative. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the essentials and it’s got so much room. The bunk room with the spare bedroom is perfect for a family with kids while also having the main floor master bedroom being very spacious. I did not want to leave! We will be coming back for sure. Make sure you book this cabin for your next trip to Broken Bow/Hochatown.

Truly wonderful stay!
We have been coming to the Broken Bow area for most of the last 15 years & this was our favorite cabin so far! The location is quiet and peaceful- we enjoyed sitting on the amazing porches. The communication & attention to detail were next level. The owners truly thought of everything- down to thoughtful snacks and toiletries.we had a small issue that we let the owner know about & even though we said it wasn’t something to worry about, they called and resolved it quickly. We would absolutely stay in this cabin or with other properties owned by the same people again!

Absolutely amazing!!!
This property was absolutely amazing, and we will definitely be back!! I would have been fine if we had never left the property. There is a small stream that runs in the ditch in the front of the property that gave the most peaceful background noise when I was in the porch drinking my coffee. That was an added bonus! Ping pong, hot tub, video games, etc left us with lasting family memories❤️❤️❤️.

We loved our stay here the first day it rained we never felt bummed or bored. We hung out on the porch playing games and watching tv/funny video's. One of the best parts of this house was the shower, it was the best. I also appreciated how tidy and not over crowed, it was sleek clean stylish! If I could live in this house I would!

Mockingbird Hill
We picked the house location thinking we would be a little secluded. I didn't realize how close to the road the firepit was located until after I booked the property. So our only complaint (not much of one) is the lack of privacy when hanging out at the firepit. It was a busy road due to lots of new build construction but also because people staying in the area with off road vehicles found it fun to drive back and forth on while we were trying to hang out. Also, probably a tough road and driveway for a car. Definitely glad we had our SUV. The large construction vehicles and rain did a big number on the road. The house was beautiful!! Enjoyed our stay.
