The space
Located on a quiet cul de sac, this cozy one-bedroom apartment is an ideal place to get away from it all. It’s charming wooden deck in the treetops is equipped with comfy wicker furniture to relax, catch up on some reading, or enjoy a BBQ. The bedroom is furnished with a comfortable queen size bed and matching night stands, with plenty of closet space. The open plan living room has a comfy sofa, a dining area and a workspace suitable for a laptop. There is also a 63-inch smart TV, so you can login to your favorite subscription service. The apartment also has a fully equipped kitchen, so you can prepare your favorite home-cooked meals. The spacious full bathroom has a washer and dryer and offers a choice of a shower or a luxuriating soak in a sunken corner bath.
The deck spa (hot tub) is an extra $250.00 to the booking price. If you stay a 5th night the fee for the next 4 nights is $200. The hot tub is cleaned every 5 days.
Guest access
Access is through the left side gate (facing the house). Motion detector lights on at night.
There is a black cart with wheels inside the gate that you use to bring in your luggage and groceries.
Other things to note
From Jun-September the suite temperature is set at 74. Adjusting room thermostat might take a while. Please only use the up and down button to adjust the temperature. the thermostat is already set to cool so there are no adjustments to the thermostat needed for AC to be on.
The neighborhood
The apartment is located in the East Bay area of Brentwood, less than an hour’s drive from San Francisco. It’s a quiet residential area, with a wide variety of shopping, eating and entertainment options within a ten-minute drive, including a good selection of restaurants offering international cuisine for dining in, take-away or delivery. Contra Loma Regional park and lake is about a half hour drive and offers scenic views and trails for hiking, as well as facilities for golf, tennis and a swimming pool.
Getting around
There is little in the way of public transit and, though Uber and Lyft are available, it’s recommended that guests provide their own transport.
