The property and staff were fine, but I didn't much care for the town and surrounding areas. I thought there would have been more do and see around there. Plus, the lack of restaurants.

There was no hot water in the room. Room was poorly lit. Cough drop wrappers in nightstand drawer by bed and dirty glass top and base of lamp showed cleaning was not thorough.

Understand short handed but if I’m finding bugs in my room and I tell you about it and you go “huh okay oh well” and that’s the end of it but you have no other room available although I see lots of rooms available. The continental breakfast was whatever was left over from day before. Had to figure out how to fix tv on my own since nobody around that could or would help. Found dead bugs in drawers and after pulling sheets off find out they were stained and dirty and bugs in mattress seams. The room wasn’t even vacuumed and towels were thin and stained. My rags are cleaner than they were. Don’t even get me started on the thick dust in corners. I am a hotel housekeeper in my hometown area and this stuff I seen would never ever pass at our hotel. Like said I understand you are short handed but that’s no excuse for not caring about your guests or cleanliness.

Unfinished remodeling in room & bathroom, bathroom towels and tub and curtain old & "grungy", extremely poor breakfast options and way of serving it (went to local gas station to get food instead). Met another 2 residents there for same reasons, they complained about mold in their bathroom. Lots of ticky-tack issues; will stay in Brainerd next time in area instead.

The location is great. The staff give good service. The towels and bedding are terrible. I would not consider showering. I’m sure you could see through the sheets. The gas station breakfast was far better than the offerings at the hotel.
