Lamoka Lake 4-season tiny house for boating, ice-fishing, hunting, wineries

DAY Retreat Cottage, an adorable tiny house, 1-bedroom plus a Queen sleeper sofa in the living room, 1 bath on Lamoka Lake!

This is part of a small campground with dock access with gorgeous views of the lake.
Lovely, cozy cottage to spend time with friends or family. This unit is the only one open year round at the campground so if you are looking for hunting at the >9,000 acre Sugar Hill State Forest a few short miles away, ice fishing on Lamoka Lake, curing the winter blues with some visits to local wineries and breweries around the Finger Lakes or just some peace and quiet, this is the place to be!

The space
Breathe deep, exhale, and let your cares melt away. At DAY Retreat, we provide you with everything you need! You will never want to stay in a hotel or condo again! Enjoy your morning coffee, hot tea or mimosa gazing at water views. Spend the day exploring the lake, hiking to one of the many waterfalls nearby, sipping wine or brew beer along the Kekua or Seneca Wine trails, or letting the lake breeze wash over you while relaxing. If the winter months are more your cup of tea, then enjoy ice fishing, hunting at the >9,000 Sugar Hill State Forest just a few short miles away, cross country skiing or snowmobiling.

The bedroom is a new Queen bed with direct access to the bathroom. The living room has a Queen size, leather sleeper sofa and a large chair and a half comfy recliner.

The kitchen has a full-size refrigerator with ice maker and is stocked with pots, pans, dishes, cups, etc. for 6.

The bedroom and living room are smart TV accessible.

Summer and Winter outdoor activities abound here! The size of Lamoka Lake makes it superior for swimming, due to the water warming faster than the surrounding larger lakes. Fish off the dock or gather around the fire pit for a campfire & S’mores. We have a john boat and canoe for your use. Lamoka lake is centrally located to the Finger Lakes Region’s most popular attractions & activities. 9 miles to Seneca Lake, 7 miles to Keuka Lake and 7 miles to Watkins Glen International Race Track. For the Winter months we are a few short miles to the >9,000 acres of Sugar Hill State Land Forester for hunting, ice fishing right on Lamoka Lake, cross country skiing and snowmobiling. Of course the year round activity of wineries, breweries and great restaurants are never a disappointment!

Whether you’re a couple seeking a romantic weekend, a family set on sharing an unforgettable week, or a group of friends looking to unwind and connect, DAY Retreat is anxious to accommodate you.

*Air conditioning is provided with a window unit in the central area.

Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire house, yard, dock and lakefront, including the entire campground area which has a large "Gathering Area" that includes an outdoor kitchen and outdoor living area. DAY Retreat has its own private parking area and entrance and has plenty of yard space for additional guest via tents (at an additional fee for tents). You will be given a 4-digit code to enter the keyless entry property at least one week prior to check-in.

There are three security cameras on property. 1. Entrance of the dock, 2. Looking across the street at the storage area 3. Looking at the maintenance storage shed. These are not to see you but for package delivery notifications primarily.
During your stay at this cottage, you're just a quick walk from Lamoka Lake.
  • Steps from Lamoka Lake and 10 minutes by car from Waneta Lake

Nice little place
We stayed here as a base to Watkins Glenn, which was not far away. The unit is cozy and a little tight at times, but we enjoyed the comfort of being outside. Be prepared if you haven't experienced iron in the water before, it is pretty strong here - make sure to bring your own drinking water. Communication with the host was top notch and very responsive - thanks for the hospitality.

Nice place, nice location, way too crowded inside
We liked this spot, but the interior was way too crowded. There was so much stuff (furniture, trinkets, shelves, etc.) it was challenging to move around. Every flat surface was filled with books, antiques, and just stuff. All the counters were filled with cooking utensils, coffee makers, flatware, etc. It was just too much. The couch was piled with blankets and pillows. There was no place to sit down and relax. There was no place to set up a computer and get stuff done. I hardly ever give a review that is this harsh, but someone needs to help them simplify.

Perfect wine weekend
The Tiny House was perfectly located between Keuka and Seneca lake for our wine tasting weekend! Jamie and Nichole were amazing hosts! Wish it was a little warmer so we could have enjoyed the lake and fire ring, will have to come back in the summer!
