About this property

Camp Hidden Creek / Sleep where the shine was made!

Rumor has it the more than a few gallons of Shine have been made on Enitachopco Creek. Remnants of stills have been found all across our 138 acre property. Perhaps you will find your own relics as you hike or bike our miles of groomed trails!

Come and enjoy our beautiful camp on the banks of Enitachopco Creek! Our property is abundant with wildlife. (Deer, Turkey, Fox, Bobcat, Coyote, Squirrels, Raccoons and more) Hike our well groomed trails or or bring your mountain bikes and cruise through our woodlands.

Enitachopco creek is renowned for red eye bass fishing. You can also try your luck with large-mouth bass and various varieties of bream. Our creeks are easily accessible, scenic and fun for all. If fishing isn’t your thing, sit soak and let the fresh running water cool you down.

Our tent is set up with a queen size bed for your comfort. There is room on the floor for a twin air mattress or two if you need the extra space. We can also pitch standard tents in your camp area if you need additional space, (see "Extras" for cost details.

Although we are a primitive campsite with no electricity or running water at the campsite, we try and make you as comfortable as possible. We have a privacy enclosed "Out House" and a "Solar Shower" for your convenience.

The quaint towns of Ashland and Lineville are nearby and offer boutique shopping and dining if you decide to leave the property. Be sure and take in the Jeanette's Auction each Saturday Night in Lineville, you won't regret it!

Nearby Attractions:

Talladega National Forest and Cheaha Mountain State Park: Both are short drives and offer miles and miles of hiking and biking trails for all skill levels. Take some time and discover locations like Bald Rock and Salt Creek Falls!

Hidden Gem, too far from home.
We came for the NASCAR race 45 minutes away, but this was worth the drive x2. We just loved everything about this. It's not everyone's type of place but the amenities for such a simple setting were just great. The site states 'No electricity' but they have electricity at each site. They also included a lamp, fan, outside lights and heater, all on cords to plug in phones, etc.. Also, a covered picnic table, water in a jug, charcoal grill with tools. The bed was also VERY comfortable, with quality bedding. We had torrential downpour, HEAVY rain ALL night. Tent kept us completely dry, only a little water ran in my under front zipper. Owner was aware and will fix. This facility might not necessarily be for families, unless they allow tent set up. Probably not where you wanna go with little ones. Creek bank is steep and creek looks like it might be deep. Very comfortable (residential style) shower and bathroom (with towels, shower soap/shampoo), and coffee bar. Cabins are well spaced so you'll have privacy, peace and quiet. You also be greeted by Camp, the possibly intimidating but very friendly host dog. Really wish a place like this was close to us. We'd very likey come back and strongly recommend this getaway.

Comfort Camping
Our whole experience was wonderful. From reserving a space to exiting the property everyone involved was super friendly and helpful. The camping is near carefree, comfortable, and clean. They even provide some coffee and hot chocolate that made a couple of mornings an easy no cook fire breakfast. Highly recommend!

Amazing little place about 35 minutes from Talladega speedway
I absolutely loved my stay here. This will definitely be on my list of places to revisit in the future. The property owners are very helpful and make sure you have all you need but aren't overbearing. The sound of the creek at night is so soothing. They have created several things for you to do on the property and FYI adults can use the BB guns and archery also lol. The back porch is adorable where you get your coffee, tea or hot chocolate. They also do have French vanilla creamer for those of you who love it as much as I. The bathroom where you shower is very clean and their is also an actual toilet there as well. The outhouse however was clean and didn't have a terrible smell or lots of bugs. Lastly this place is about 35 minutes from Talladega if your looking for someplace nice to stay until Race day. Enjoy!!

Beautiful getaway spot
This is a beautiful spot to retreat to for a weekend getaway. Very comfortable and the hosts were hospitable and attentive. They definitely thought of lots of nice touches to make the stay as pleasant as possible. Tubing, s'mores and sleeping with the sound of the creek were memorable highlights. Would return another weekend for sure!
