McKenzie Corner- Inspiring Stay- Longer Term Welcome

This Mid-century-made-modern 1950’s ranch rambler is located in the heart of Waco with inspiring style. The in-home-showroom experience introduces guests to innovative brands and artists, while staying in maximum comfort and living sparked with inspiration. Approachable designer furnishings and decor; a very quiet home on a large, privately-fenced corner lot.

The space
Gorgeous light-filled home with original windows. This amenity-filled property was designed with guest comfort in mind. The whole house features cordless, black-out privacy blinds. Social dining spaces are offered as vignettes in the main area or eat-in space at the kitchen island. Fully equipped kitchen, including an air-frier, kids’ dishware and a collection of cookbooks you don’t want to miss. Enjoy playing a family-friendly game, located in the bistro table area.

-Sound machines for all bedrooms.
-A pack-n-play for your travel convenience.
-Ring lights staged in all workspaces.
-Coffee and Cocktail bar fully loaded with glassware and mixology tools in the sitting room.
-Motion-activated lights in kitchen and mudroom. Remote controlled lights in bedrooms and living rooms.
-Walk-in closets for hanging clothes and extra space for folded-clothing storage.
-High-efficiency, remote controlled fans in all bedrooms and living room for max comfort and airflow.
-Separate beverage fridge in mudroom for fresh, local Dr Pepper for guests coming and going.
-Highest quality, sustainable, plush bedding made from eucalyptus that is moisture wicking and cooling for all rooms. You won’t believe how soft the sheets are!
-Covered parking.
-Private fenced yard and back patio lit up with cafe lights.
-Outdoor propane grill and smokeless pellet fire pit made for those cozy nights and grill-outs.
-Shoe storage off of the main living and a shoe shelf in the mudroom or guest convenience.
-High-speed Internet and boosters provided along with several comfortable work/living areas. The property offers special accommodations to include a ring light for each space in the event you need to hop on a zoom call or want some extra “getting ready” space.
-Ring security cameras for front and back add a comforting level of security for
our guests.
-Extra hooks in each bedroom and mudroom. Toiletries provided for each restroom and water closet, to include special makeup towels in the hallway bathroom.
-Extra large luxury leather sofa by Apt2B in the main living room for napping or socializing. This can be used as another sleeping space.
-The Leather Novogratz futon offers additional sleep space in the sitting room.

The Baylor Suite: Whether you are a Baylor U alumni, or fan of the Bears, this room is an upscale and elegant twist on a college space using the university colors, green & gold, as the theme. Fitted with two comfortable full beds, you will also find reading material for all ages stored on original 1950’s built-in bookshelf, luggage stands, local art, the softest rug EVER by LoLoi and a walk-in closet! You will love falling asleep under the twinkle lights from the backyard in this space and the pink flowers on the trees bloom right outside of this room in the summer. And for those Baylor fans, this space even has a special nightstand light, our guests call “Bear.”

The Blue Room: Once you stay in this creative, comfortable space and realize the level of sleep comfort under this blue ceiling, you may go home wanting to paint one of your ceilings blue. This room features a Queen bed, luxury linens from Sheets & Giggles, and quilted mattress topper for the sustainable hybrid mattress. You will also find a surprise tuck-away workspace perfect for that zoom call, updating your blog or for getting ready in the morning, fun lamps and extra storage for your fold-away clothes. The Matace rug underfoot is delightfully plush and you can easily relax and watch the 55” Smart TV from the living room from this space! Quite a convenient view off the living room, we do say! This is the perfect NAP-TASTIC room.

The Provincial Room: The main bedroom hosts a King-sized upholstered bed AND a secondary sleeping area, offering a modern Novogratz leather futon. You will overlook the backyard as well as the mature trees in the front, where you can watch the sunset colors in the sky from this corner of the house. This suite offers a separate bathroom with a modern glass walk-in shower. There is plenty of storage with the walk-in closet. This room is a calm shade of “provence blue” and is equally comfortable and expansive. Enjoy the views from the floor mirror that offers a reflection of the morning light. There is cheery modern desk space suited with a remote controlled lamp and internet booster–it’s also a great spot for some extra “getting ready” space.

The home is a single level ranch style home. King, Queen, 2 Fulls, 2 pull-down Futons and a large couch.
