The rooms were a good size with excellent facilities. Buffet breakfast available each morning which was really convenient and had something for everyone. Staff very friendly and helpful. There are good bus links outside hotel to downtown.

Easy to get to. Close to Amtrak as well as Brigham & Women's. Modern furnishings throughout. Safe pull in for ride share. Quiet with some traffic noise. Good security to entry and rooms. Spacious. Amazing hot water delivery and huge shower. Will stay again.

Decent room. The location isn’t great.i wouldn’t feel safe walking the area at night. The hotel valet is expensive and they didn’t advise us that there was alternative free parking. There are also hidden fees so read the small print. We stayed one night and on top of the room rate we paid they charged an additional $150 in fees. Beware.would not recommend.

Wonderful staff. Hotel was very nice. Room was excellent. But the area is loud. Not close to trains or subway, there is a bus stop though. Not many food options near by.

Terrible experience at breakfast
Dear [Hotel Manager], I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the breakfast experience during my recent stay at your hotel. Unfortunately, the service did not meet the standard expected, especially considering the hotel was fully booked. Throughout the breakfast service, many essential items were missing, including yogurt, porridge, and even plates. The delay in refilling these items was significant, and to make matters worse, there were no tea bags available. This level of service was extremely disappointing and did not reflect the expectations I had from a Residence Inn property. Given this mismanagement and the inconvenience caused, I kindly request that you credit my Marriott membership (#913222339) with 20,000 points as compensation for this unsatisfactory experience. We stayed at Residence Inn by Marriott Boston Downtown / South End for college move-in weekend. The staff were so friendly, we appreciated their helpfulness! The room was very comfortable and very clean. We had a king suite with kitchen so we could warm up coffee and keep our leftovers or snacks in the refrigerator. On site included breakfast was good with standard items - waffles, yogurt, sausage, eggs, and pastries. Water pressure in the shower was great, almost too hard actually on the second floor, the shower head didn't spray uniformly but overall so much better than low water pressure! There was a little bit of street noise in the room but it is Boston after all. We relied on valet parking that was very convenient although not cheap at $55/night. The phone number to text to retrieve our car didn't work but when we went down the valet got our car very quickly since the lot is just adjacent to the hotel. Overall this is a great pick for visiting the Boston area and we will definitely book there again for future visits! The friendliness of staff, cleanliness, and convenience make it a worthwhile hotel for staying in Boston.

Our recent stay at Residence Inn Boston Downtown/South End was a pleasant experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm smile and friendly hospitality. The room was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. Although the breakfast buffet could have been more plentiful, with food, drinks, plates, and cutlery replenished more promptly, the overall positive experience outweighed this minor inconvenience. The hotel's location was ideal, with Northeastern University just a short walk away (the main reason for this trip). We never felt unsafe and we didn't see any homeless people or junkies hanging around the area. Overall, our experience at Residence Inn was great. We would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
