The room was nice but there was a loud wedding reception with music that went on late, then room next door were very loud, then the roof (we were on the top floor) was having very loud repairs directly above us. I couldn't wait to get out and was offered a full refund.

I will always choose the Hawthorne Hotel in Salem!
This is my second time staying at the Hawthorne Hotel and it was amazing. The staff are so kind and helpful. The rooms are great (REALLY love the pillows!!). The shower is hot and powerful. The best part is it is in the heart of everything. You can walk everywhere. I will be back, but hopefully it won't be 18 years between visits this time.

A comfortable hotel I would stay at again. It’s an older hotel but that was what I was looking for. It has an interesting history and has been known for paranormal experiences. I didn’t experience anything paranormal, but it definitely felt like a place you could. The location is great for walking anywhere you need to go.

Lovely hotel!
We had a great time at this hotel! It’s a beautiful hotel that has 2 restaurants, The Tavern and Nathaniel’s, and a gift shop. We only ate at The Tavern and it was delicious! Our room was cute and had everything we needed for our stay. The hotel was clean and the staff very friendly and professional. It’s supposed to be haunted but we didn’t see or feel anything during our stay. Overall, I would definitely choose to stay at the Hawthorne Hotel again in the future.
