Nice traditional hotel, enjoyed the old fashioned feel. Very convenient for a one night stay to see a concert in Lynn. Grabbed a quick and nicely priced bite in the restaurant and got a drink after last call from the bar before bed. Excellent value over all.

Strange goings on at the Hawthorn hotel
The room was the size of a shoebox.there was someone else’s hair on the floor in the bathroom. And while I was at breakfast, someone on hotel staff entered my room, open the window and smoked a cigarette. I had not used a privacy please door hanger, because there was none available. However, when I returned to my stinky room, they had courteously left me one. It was very strange. I was very glad that I was leaving that day and that I had only stayed one night.

The Hotel is very nice, front desk was very helpful. Only thing is I wish the hot water was warmer in the showers. Other than that it was a lot of fun and very nice.

What an absolutely stunning hotel. Right in the centre of Salem, adjacent to the beautiful Common, and literally over the road from Essex Street. The lobby was cosy and the staff were warm and friendly. Rooms were excellent, and we genuinely wished we'd stayed longer.
