Our stay was okay but definitely not as good as I had hoped. First off, the toilets are the kind you find at elementary schools--way too short and had that manual/industrial toilet flusher in the back so you had to lower the lid to flush. Secondly, the breakfast sucked. The options were very limited and they did not replenish the one good thing (fresh fruit salad). Third, I had some interesting conversations with the staff who seemed clueless about the nearby area and other sites in Boston (eg Harvard Square-- had never been there). They also did not know what the word "hypoallergenic" or "down" meant when I asked about the pillows and bedding; these seem like words they should know. Before I arrived, I called from the airport to ask if I could check in at 3:30 instead of 4:00 pm. They confirmed that my room was ready but said it would be $22 to check in 30 mins early. Seriously??? Obviously, I refused that "offer." There are no phones in the room to the front desk, so you have to walk to the front of the hotel to ask questions (and our room was way in the back of a very long corridor.) There is a lot of noise when someone else uses the water (flushing, showering etc). The a/c was on in our room, and we had no way of turning it off ourselves. It was also loud.
The best thing about this hotel was that they had a machine that made sparkling water. Also, the beds were comfortable but seemed small for queen sized.
Overall, I would NOT recommend it.
