We loved the Thomas Hardy connection, the history and the stories that Chris told us about the location and history. We loved the friendly atmosphere, warm welcome, and we felt more like family than tourists.
We loved the room, the location, and the peace and quiet.loved the attention to detail and the sustainable and ecological energy and food production - so inspiring. Loved the garden tour - thank you Sally.
There is nothing that we didn't love - and will be visiting again.....
The stay at the old Rectory wes better than i ever could of imagined. The hosts Chris and Sally are amazing and extremely knowledgeable about all thing's local. The room was immaculate absolutely spotless and beautifully and tastefully decorated sympathetic to the history and age of the house
The breakfast was freshly made and the choices were more than enough. There helpfulness with local amenities and eating out venue's was well received and there use of eco friendly products is the be congratulated on situated in a quiet part of Cornwall on the outskirts of Boscastle this hidden jem is well worth your time to seek out
Highly Recommend this fine Establishment
A beautiful house with lots of history and hosts that couldn’t do enough for you, from restaurant recommendations to allowing takeaway meals to be eaten at the hotel when everywhere was full. Would highly recommend and will definitely stay again.
The property is a fantastic old period building and is full of history. Great shared facilities (conservatory and lounge) that an be used in the evening. It's in a nice quiet location with easy access either on foot or by car to Boscastle.
Beautiful old house with amazing garden and very friendly hosts. Lovely breakfasts but no evening food available. Restaurants in pretty village were busy and necessary to book in advance in July.
First class in every way. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay there, which was enhanced with the beautiful Cornish countryside. Sally the proprietor was wonderful, and we whole heartedly would recommend any body to stay there
