The room is basically a box with a bed. No towels, (you have to pay if you want one)no soap, toilets are not ensuite (as expected) but have no sink to wash hands. Bed was uncomfortable and sheet was plastic backed bobbly nylon, like an old-fashioned cot sheet. Super basic accommodation.

Hostel with private rooms

There were some pros and some cons, so giving a 5/10. This is basically a hostel with private rooms. Pros: -It was clean -beds were comfy -far from center but close to train station -check out at 12 Cons: -awfully thin towels and €3 to use it -rooms are very small -noisy -despiste the sign in the front door saying “English spoken here” the staff I encountered (minus 1 night clerk) didn’t speak English or make an effort to communicate. -perhaps the worst one is that they don’t use sheets on their beds, only mattresses covers, which is very weird to me. I asked and they did give me one but said they don’t normally do that. I did not purchase the breakfast but went down to check it out and I’d never pay €6.5 for croissants and juice (yes, that was it).

F1 is now more of a Hostel than a Hotel

Despite the website showing a picture of a bathroom in the room, there were only communal ablutions, and no upgrade options. The cheap, basic hotel that was my "go to" in France is no longer an option. Plus, it now costs 3 Euros, if you want a towel.

The shower room door did not close, the smell was very damp, very small room for two and no fridge. We did not like it and did not stay. The area around the hotel did not look secure and fire doors where left open for all to access. We took one at the room, plus the area and did not stay. Please avoid if you can.

Room was not what expected, i asked for a trio room cause i wanted a double bed and i was told none were available. Bathrooms were not clean at all and you were charged for towels. Not a hotel. Just a hostel with individual rooms

Poor value for money - Hotels.com's reputation at

I did not realize that the hotel offered shared bathrooms (this was mentioned in small prints as I noticed later. Tariff was $49/day for a hotel in the suburbs of Bordeaux, France would mislead one in believing that the rooms had attached bathrooms. The bathroom and WC were outright dirty. I used these facilities at a gas station. No bath towels were at first available. Since the front desk clerk did not speak English, it took me over 10 minutes to explain that we certainly needed towels. The room was of same standard as in a Student Hostel.

I was awakened by someone who knocked violently at my door at 4 in the morning. One of the staff wasn't friendly at all. Toilets dirty.

Wipe your feet on the way out

The floor hadn't been swept let alone moppe d for maybe a week . There were meal crumbs on the table ,and the most disturbing find was that the beds hadn't been changed ( somebody had slept in these beds )

Solid for the price

Decent hotel but rooms are small. Very inexpensive though. Overall very good for a short stay or if you're not planning on spending any time at the hotel.

The staff were very very helpful, even though they spoke little English they went out or thier way to help us on our travels. A spotless clean hotel too.
