While in the high country why not pack a picnic lunch and take a leisurely drive to the King Valley wine region, stopping at Powers Lookout along the way, it's simply breathtaking. When you arrive at Whitfield (approx. 45 mins.) you're biggest decision will be which winery to go to, there's about ten in the area...... Oh just try them all! Black Horse Park is an all year round holiday location. The area caters for: Snow skiing / snowboarding at Mt Buller, fishing / swimming at the Delatite River (just 2mins away), horse riding in Mansfield State Forest / Victorian High Country, mountain biking / cycling at the rail trail and Mt Buller ( We have bikes and helmets available for hire) four wheel driving and exploring, golf at Mansfield Golf Club or just enjoy a gourmet platter and a glass of fine local wine at one of the local wineries.

Lake Eildon is only 10 minutes away so why not bring your boat, we have heaps of room to park it safely.
Goughs Bay has three great concrete ramps so you can always access the lake no matter what the water level is.
Besides all the usual water sport activities you should try the bars / restaurants on the waters edge, just pull up, tie up and enjoy.

These are just a few of the wonderful activities on offer in this amazing area.

If you would like to bring you're horse and ride the vast expanses of the Victorian High Country, it's on our doorstep, with endless tracks to ride you'll be amazed at the breathtaking scenery and awesome riding trails.
We have excellent horse friendly paddocks and four post and rail yards with water and washing facilities and plenty of room to park the float.
You don't even have to bring your own hay as we have plenty of good quality grass hay here you can buy at a very reasonable price.
Your horse can stay for $10 per night or if you are unable to bring one don't worry we can arrange local horses and guides for you.

During your stay at Black Horse Park, feel free to wander the property, fish for Red Fin, Rainbow trout and Yabbies or even have a swim in our large clean dam, sip on a glass of you're favourite wine, read a book or just have an afternoon nap.

Please be aware there are other accommodation options on the property and there may be other guests in close proximity. If you are looking for a peaceful

Beautiful
The place is a beautiful place in a peaceful location. Directions and communications with the host were great. The place had everything we needed and was nice and warm with the fire place and a split system and a heater in the bathroom. Comfortable beds with extra blankets. Then only thing i would say is some instructions for the stove top would have ben helpful (coming from cooking on gas I had to google how to turn the electric stove top on) but worked fine once we got it going. Thanks so much for a great place for our group for a few days. Cheers

I always see accommodation on the internet and assume it isn't always quite what it seems, but not this property - the Chapel was magnificent - so beautiful, warm, cosy, clean, comfortable - everything we needed was catered for - the property was stunning, so beautiful, I could not recommend this property enough!! great for a base to stay and travel, or just utilise all the facilities on the property!! It was extremely stunning

Fantastic Cottage getaway!
We have just returned from a 4 day stay at Pin Oak Cottage with another family. Gorgeous place with ample sleep space for all. Very neat and clean with comfey beds, plenty of extra blankets too for snuggling on the soft couch. The heater and the woodfire kept us all super cozy and we were lucky enough that lovely Rob had the fire lit and ready for us when we arrived later on a rainy cold night...absolute heaven!! There is a fab outdoor firepit and bar area to sit and enjoy the colourful sunset and sounds of the country, also options for BBQ or firepit cooking. The kids loved the beautiful and super friendly resident pups Maggie and Bella aswell as the cows and 2 miniature ponies who love a pat 😊. So much space for them to run and play and a tyre swing out on an old tree, badminton, croquet set, games, Netflix....they were never bored. It was such a fab experience and we would love to return again one day, I highly reccommend this charming property. Thankyou so much for having us.

Perfect family getaway
Stayed here for the weekend and the kids absolutely loved it. Resident cows, dogs and cat all made us feel welcome. Our 7 year old even caught his first fish in the lake on property. The trampoline was fun for our 4 year old and the fire pit was the perfect spot for cooking our marshmallows. Owners Robert and Helen were lovely and made sure we had everything we needed. A Great break from city life. We’ll be back!
