Absolutely atrocious smell in the hallway on 4th and the elevators. To the point of gagging and eyes watering in the area. Requested staff look into the smell and never received any follow up in addition to the smell being beyond noticeable.

As charged for my room through Hotels and the hote
I was charged for my room through Hotels Aoo, only to find the hotel also charged me for the room $30.00 less then hotels.com. I finally got a credit from the hotel but my understanding is that Hotels App is supposed to be less money???????

Wish our room had windows that opened or a small balcony. Perhaps other rooms did. We werent in the hotel much aside from sleeping and later evenings (hence wanting a balcony). Otherwise, clean, located near a casino if that is your thing, but not walkable to local city. Need to drive to Cold Lake

Ok stay but won’t be back. We were in town for an event in the Northern part of cold Lake. I booked this hotel specifically because they are both pet friendly & have a pool. Most hotels in Cold Lake only offer one & we were travelling with our dog. This hotel is located South of Cold Lake, so it added more time & gas to our drive, it was also substantially more expensive than my other options. Fair enough, I wanted a pool & a pet friendly hotel. I’ll pay to have both. We checked in late after a long drive from Calgary and unpacked. Only to find out the pool was indefinitely closed to do a maintenance issue. I completely understand it’s not the hotels fault. It’s out of their control. I would have preferred to know this when booking online. I would have booked a hotel closer to our final destination that was cheaper. When I told the front desk staff, she was kind of abrasive and said she couldn’t do anything and I’d have to speak to a manager. The next morning I spoke to a manager, a woman who gave me a big story about what happened with the pool but didn’t seem willing to compensate me for the extra amenities I had paid for but they weren’t able to deliver on. Another manager overheard and quickly came over right away to give me a discount. I was very impressed with his kindness, understanding and excellent customer service skills. He was wonderful and was able to give me a small discount. I’m appreciative for that, but I won’t pay that much to stay there again.

The hotel was nice, the room had lots of space and was very quiet except for the air conditioner which would make a lot of noise every so often. The dining choices were great, the breakfast amazing. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We were disappointed the pool was closed down; it was part of the reason we booked there. The elevator was an issue. Only one worked and the other one stunk so bad that most people didn't use it. We could smell it even if we walked by. We would stay there again in spite of those issues.
