Very helpful and friendly staff. Room was beautiful and very spacious. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast was great and ate lunch in the bar, which was also great. Lovely outdoor area

It was ideal to be in the centre of town and has historical backgound portayed inside the house. Lighting in the bedroom was rather dim though.

Spacious room and bathroom; very good breakfast selection, with vegan and vegetarian options too; complimentary drink voucher at reception. 👍 But room was not soundproofed: heard every noise from other rooms and WiFi was appalling.

This is a lovely hotel, welcoming, full of character, and lovely rooms. Our visit was somewhat spoiled by a noisy air conditioning. The temperature was set at 28c we woke up at 3am, hot and sweaty. initially, we were unable to switch it off, or turn it down. We eventually got back to sleep, but woke up shattered. The hotel were excellent in sorting out a partial refund, but we would rather have had a good night’s sleep.

The staff were great. The room was poor the bed was wooden and very noisy literally you couldn't even turn over without the bed creaking and cracking. The whole hotel needs updating. The fire door in the corridor kept banging everytime some one walked through which kept me awake.

This is a really lovely hotel, full of character and furnished beautifully. We found the bed one of the most comfortable we’ve had when staying in hotels. The staff were great - very courteous, friendly and helpful. We only spent one night here but will certainly aim to stay again when in the area.
