The hotel was so unique. The staff was exceptional. The heated pool was very nice but we loved the fire pits and veranda. The grounds were beautiful. Canā€™t wait to visit again.

Virginia who checked us in was so friendly and helpful. The property is beautiful. We enjoyed the fire pits. The downfall was our room, there was hair in the shower at least six long dark hairs and a used q tip still on the floor. The room was just not well cleaned all over. Luckily the sheets were nice and clean and the bed was comfy. The walls are paper thin you can hear your neighbors talking and alarms going off so loudly they sound like they are in your room.

If you're in the area you must check out the Blackstone Inn. Once a girls' college, this school has been renovated as an inn and it's amazing to experience it. So much better than the standard hotel/motel plus it's comfortable, clean and teeming with history. We will definitely be back!

I was skeptical about staying here, but I was pleasantly surprised upon pulling up. The facility is a remodeled former womenā€™s college. I love the fact they kept some of the original feel to the Inn. The staff was beyond accommodating and pleasant to deal with. I will highly recommend The Inn at Blackstone. We frequent the area once a year and will definitely stay again.

Would definetly come back!
This was a one-night stay, and I had no real issues. The room and bed were comfortable but about the size of a walk-in closet. It's obvious they are trying hard to make the best of the space and they certainly get credit for that. The floor in my room needed some TLC, which is why I did not give it five stars. It's banged up pretty well, and areas seem to be unfinished. Don't get me wrong; it did not interfere with my stay, just the difference between a four & five-star review. What stood out was the service. The entire staff was gracious throughout my short stay. When I returned from dinner off-property, I was having a chocolate crisis, and they had nothing in the sundry area to satisfy my chocolate, gooey meltdown. Then, to my rescue came the front desk clerk, who graciously dug into her purse, pulled out a mini Butterfinger bar, and saved the day... She definitely made a friend for life that day. I would absolutely recommend staying at this property if you are ever in Blackstone, Virginia.

This is a beautiful, historical location. They have a fireplace outside. The pool was a little chilly when we stopped by before it closed. We loved our stay!

Beautiful, beautiful historic property that has been renovated very nicely. The room was well appointed, very clean, and in keeping with the historical context. Breakfast was rather disappointing and that they lacked several advertised items, including no milk, no waffles, limited fruit. The pool heater was broken, and the water chemistry was off, which was also disappointing. The staff, however, were excellent and very helpful and accommodating.

Loved this quirky hotel!! So much better than a chain hotel! Staff was super helpful and nice. Room was not huge but very clean and the gym was really nice! Not close to town but saw they provided shuttle if you needed it. Would stay here again!

I had a very nice stay at the Inn at Blackstone. Room was clean. Only issue I ran into was the mini-fridge in the room was not working correctly and was barely cool, but informed front desk of the issue on checkout and they informed me they would have it replaced.
