Nice location, but worst place we've ever stayed

Pros: Location was good
Cons: Everything that I mentioned in my feedback.
Location: The location is great, very near the promenade and handy for everything.
The first thing they did was take our money - now I know why! If we hadn't paid up front we would’ve left. We stayed in a very cramped and dirty room. The bunk beds were terrible & squeaked every time you moved! The cleanliness was terrible & had M & M's on the floor! We were told what time to come for breakfast. We wanted to go at 8.30 but was told this was too early & we had to go at 9. You couldn’t choose, it was their time or nothing! At breakfast, we asked for 2 extra hash browns (as the adults got them & the children didn’t!?) & were charged 50p each for these. £1 is nothing, but it is the principle lol, my husband had to go up to the room & get this as they insisted you paid immediately. I've never had to do this before, so embarrassing! Then before we’d even finished breakfast the owners sat on the table behind us to eat theirs. I can’t believe they wouldn’t wait until we had left? So awkward & uncomfortable. We felt like we were in their house & certainly not the customer. They also sat in the communal lounge area at night, so there was no way we could go & sit there without feeling awkward. They also told stories of how “horrible some people can be” & said that some people “get in their faces” & “if people don’t like it you know where the door is” - NICE! Parking is a nightmare – we had to park about a mile away. It only has parking on one side of the road is narrow. They had dogs which barked in the morning & woke us. No-one wants to be woken by dogs barking!

Nice staff. Booked family room which was big enough for the 3 of us. Only let down was the shower which was temperamental
