We chose this hotel to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary, what a disappointment it was, we arrived on Friday afternoon to find that there was a wedding reception taking place. The group were unruly with children running riot. The following morning at breakfast was something of a horror show, the children were out of control with no parental responsibility. Unfortunately the hotel staff were unable to control the situation. Such a shame as we were looking forward to a relaxing breakfast but couldn’t wait to leave the room. Fortunately the next morning the wedding party had left and normality was resumed. The hotel itself is looking a little tired and needs updating. Our keycard never worked and had to be reprogrammed multiple times, very annoying.

There was an issue with our booking and, although eventually sorted, the staff were chaotic and unprofessional. Bar restaurant was understaffed. My caesar salad arrived with no dressing and I ate it eventually with just a fork as there was no staff to ask for cutlery. We were upgraded due to the mix up but the room was just large - not particularly nice. The four poster bed had cobwebs all around the top. This hotel was overpriced and I would not recommend. The only thing we enjoyed was getting our electric car charged to get away the next morning!

It is lovely and quiet. With all the facilities of golf, spa treatment. Use of gyms, swimming pool. Food was very good. Staff are really friendly and professional.

The hallway smell was awful near the rooms, it smelled like mold. They need to replace the carpets in the hallways immediately. And have candles going or something to cover up the smell in the hallways in the meantime.

Reasonable (superior) room, if a little dated. Good space for clothing etc. and the bed was pretty big too. Just a shame about the staff. Particularly I felt for Ivan in the bar who was generally quite diligent but was just one person whom we felt wasn't best treated by colleagues. The staff need to get together as a proper team.
