Lovely hotel. Good location and delicious breakfast! Would recommend the bar for cocktails and a nice ambience. However staff were inefficient and not very apologetic when things went wrong. When we checked in they took a credit card for incidental costs and also charged the full room rate for 3 nights stay plus breakfast, which we had already paid for. At a restaurant on our first night, our overseas payment card had insufficient funds as they had wiped out almost our full balance. All very embarrassing and time consuming as we had to contact the bank, transfer funds and wait for identity to be validated etc. to pay the bill. It took until our day of departure before the funds were returned, over 900 Euros!!

This is right by museum island and in the middle of a great gallery district. Other galleries are a short M5 away. The hotel is very cool, but good for 60 year olds too. The staff have great restaurant recommendations. Fun and cool in the best sense of the words.

Old structure with a modern update of just two years. It's got a warehouse feel built around 1910 but has all modern fixtures. Great German engineering and design, especially the bathroom. Just a few minutes walk to central Berlin, it feels sequestered in a quiet corner of the city and just few yards from the river. Great hotel. Loved it; if I return to Berlin it will be in no small measure to stay here again.

The hotel is very unique and stylish. Rooms are spacious and beautiful. There is no shoe shine in the rooms which is disappointing. The breakfast buffet is very limited and poor. The staff service is a disaster. It takes 10 minutes to get coffee or water. There is plenty of staff but they are lazy, chatting all the time and playing with their phones. Very slow service. They don't replenish the buffett quickly enough or clean the tables after guests left. Very very poor staff.
