For $300 a night this is a motel. There was not a mirror in the room and the bathroom vanity was so small we couldn’t get ready for the wedding we were there for . The bed was uncomfortable. There were 3 thermostats in the room, I’m not sure which one worked . Landscaping was messy and parking lot access had broken stairs .

Noah at the front desk was friendly, helpful and professional. She was wonderful. Our room was changed so we had a wonderful view of the Vermont mountains. The grounds were groomed and just as advertised.

It's a very large property with lots of amenities in a great location for leaf peeping. Property is a little dated....staff is really trying hard.

Smelled awful. Like had been smoked in for years and they tried to cover up the smell with cheap perfume. Disgusting! Old and needs updated. Way overpriced. We should have went back to the office to get our money back and not stayed.

BEWARE!! This was supposed to be a 3 star accommodations but it was terrible. The room we were in hasn’t been updated and I would say it’s probably a health hazard. The walls in the bathroom are not even dry wall. The only redeemable quality was the grounds. The casement windows were a joke. We tried opening one and the knob fell off. The hairdryer didn’t work, and the coffee machine was filthy. At $300 a night, I expected a little more. This was a non-smoking property but as I was walking up to check-in, the manager (lady) was smoking and blew the smoke right in my path. So unprofessional and gross.

Enjoyable walking distance to stores and restaurants. Comfortable room with updated bathroom. We wished the golf course had been manicured to where we could enjoy our game without loosing the balls in long grass. The tennis courts were fantastic. Great indoor and outdoor pool. Have stayed here many times and will return.

I would not stay at the Palmer House again. First day of arrival we were told no outdoor pool as it was being repaired. On our second day, there was no hot water until the following afternoon. The bathroom and living area were dirty and the beds were very firm. We asked about a discount for the lack of hot water and they said, well it came back on in the afternoon, but I explained we had hiked the day before and were not able to take hot showers that evening or morning and had plans to go out for the day. Overall the service and property was not what I expected to experience.

They need more hooks to hang towels so you don't need to use more. They need more drawer space. They need bigger trash receptacles and need recycling options.
