Cozy one of a kind renovated Barn-ultimate getaway

Welcome to The Barn Retreat – where comfort, adventure, and relaxation seamlessly intertwine. Book your stay today and create memories that will last a lifetime. Dog Friendly. The Barn Retreat – a meticulously renovated space with a rustic vibe is filled with exceptional features that will make your stay unforgettable. Step into the cozy embrace of the expansive great room, my personal favorite, where you can gather with friends by the inviting fireplace. The exposed timber frames and rustic shiplap walls create a warm ambiance that's perfect for relaxation. Enjoy the spacious yard as the soothing sounds of a babbling brook create a year-round serenade. Whether you're seeking cherished moments with family, friends, or a romantic escape, The Barn Retreat caters to all occasions. Many of our guests have also found it to be an ideal home away from home, perfect for living, working, and playing. Great place for fall “leaf peeping” starting September and enjoy local apple picking.

Accommodating up to 8-10 guests, The Barn features two private bedrooms on the Main Floor, each furnished with a Queen bed. The upper level offers an open loft space with a Full Bed, twin bed, and bunk beds. The master bedroom conveniently connects to a Full bathroom, which also serves as the main floor bathroom. Both the master and second bedrooms are equipped with AC units.

Upstairs, the spacious loft area welcomes you with additional sleeping arrangements, including two bunk beds (top bunk with a weight limit of 160 lbs, suitable for kids), a twin bed, and a Full/double bed. This area is perfect for lounging, hanging out, and playing games.

The great room showcases a splendid fireplace, complemented by comfortable leather club chairs and a sofa. The open-concept kitchen, complete with stainless steel appliances (refrigerator, stove, dishwasher), is fully equipped for your culinary endeavors. Countertop appliances like a Keurig, coffee maker, toaster, and French press are at your disposal.

Downstairs is an extra hang out- area with some games and also has an additional Bathroom featuring a large soaking tub and 1/2 bathroom.

Venture into downtown Bennington to discover a plethora of local attractions including charming shops, enticing restaurants, a distillery, breweries, museums, and landmarks such as the Bennington Monument. Don't miss out on the excitement of the Garlic Festival on September 2, 2023. If you're a golf enthusiast, the nearby Mt. Anthony offers an excellent course as well as Stratton Mountain Golf, Equinox (driving distance), plus. Willow Park boasts amenities like swings for kids, a dog park, and more.

Our guests often embark on scenic excursions to neighboring towns like Arlington, Wilmington, and Manchester, where you can indulge in shopping, antiquing, and exploration. For outdoor enthusiasts, opportunities abound – from skiing at Mt. Snow, Stratton, Haystack or Bromley (By CAR appx +/- 45 min) to fishing, hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. Experience the thrill of events like the HITS horse show, Bromley Summer Adventure, and Mt. Equinox activities.

Inside The Barn Retreat, modern comforts await. Stream your favorite media on two smart TVs (please note potential new streaming rules for platforms like Netflix and Hulu). Additionally, we provide an Apple TV device for your convenience.

Please Note: The Barn has 'well' water, we provide some water for drinking/cooking we recommend bringing extra water based on your groups consumption.

The barn features an exterior Ring doorbell and an alarm
Our Barn is designed for year-round comfort. During summer, the nights are cooler, and AC units are available in the main floor bedrooms. Large ceiling fans in the great room, along with additional portable fans, ensure a pleasant environment. Screens are in place to keep pests out, while you enjoy the serene sound of the Furnace Brook running through the property.

In winter, a forced hot air heating system keeps the barn cozy, complemented by the fireplace that adds an extra touch of warmth and atmosphere.

Linen arrangements are tailored to the number of confirmed guests. Beds will be made up and/or Linen packs will be provided prior to your arrival.

Parking accommodates up to 3 cars, with potential adjustments in winter due to plowing. NOTE: the barn does not have an EV charging capability, but you'll find EV stations in nearby Bennington.

Kindly note that additional guests or visitors are not permitted without prior notification, and extra fees may apply.

DOGS: We're happy to welcome up to 2 dogs, with a pet policy in place (please inquire about non—hypoallergenic breeds, as we may request an additional small fee).

Family and Friends getaway
The stay at the barn was fantastic. Very warm and cozy . For those who think staying in a restored barn was drafty , not at all , it's very well insulated and it was 31 degrees outside. The fire place was awesome with plenty of wood. Dave and Loretta were very accommodating and easily assessable . It's beautifully decorated with some antiques which we enjoyed . Highly recommend . Wonderful four weeks!
We really enjoyed the barn. It was comfortable & had everything we needed. Our grandchildren enjoyed the foosball table & playing Cornhole outside. Hearing the brook all day was very relaxing. The hosts were very attentive & checked in with us to make sure that everything was ok. We found many good restaurants, farmers markets & parks in the area.

Wonderful
Love this unique remolded barn. Very well stocked with everything you could need. Nice host to deal with. Only thing was most all outlets had extensions cords everywhere so our CP machine would work. I would recommend this house any time.

Great stay!
Location was great. The converted barn served our needs well. We had 4 total that stayed there (my wife and I, and our 2 grown children) and there was plenty of room. (The loft area could have easily served 5 more people). Furniture was comfortable and dining seating was good. Recommended for stays in southern Vermont!

A Great Weekend Getaway
The Barn was wonderful. We experienced some FREEZING cold temperatures and were so relieved that the Barn wasn't drafty and in fact, was super cozy and being able to build a fire was a real treat. My only knock would be that there wasn't a driveway and being that close to the road was sometimes loud. Beyond that, the Barn was perfect and I would definitely recommend staying there again.
