Pleasantly surprised!
Was pleasantly surprised by the Taj...it's a very modern hotel attached to Bangalore airport. I was only staying one night ahead of a very early morning flight the following day.
The lounge area and restaurants serve a good selection of food and drinks. Everything I ate was tastey, and well prepared. Service was OK, friendly and smiling, if a little slow and in-attentive at times, even at apparently off peak times in the restaurants. Didn't get to experience the breakfast however as checked out at 4:30am.
The outside areas are fantastic - you wouldn't know you're at an airport hotel. I sat outside and enjoyed the calming water features. I'd have loved to explored the grounds of the hotel more, but I didn't get the opportunity.
The size of the place and the layout can be a little confusing - especially if you're in the West Wing, as the floor numbers are different between the two wings even though you're on the same level.
Rooms were reasonable size, and well furnished and maintained. They have everything right for the target market - people staying for it's proximity to the airport. Lots of room amenities and toiletries to avoiding you having to unpack your bags any more than strictly necessary.
Bed was comfortable, but the main negative is the paperthin walls - I could hear the people in the room next door showering, their TV and talking. Not ideal when you want some sleep before an early start.
Overall I would happily stay here again ahead of an early morning flight.
