Very disappointed with the condition of the hotel. This hotel is between two star and three star.we were so unhappy that we cut short our stay and only stayed one night, but had to pay an extra night as a penalty for cutting short our stay.

Great Value for Money
Friendly, easy-going staff are the big plus of this family hotel. Location is a close second, with wonderful lake views/access. Décor is dated, but that's part of the charm, and it keeps the price down. Great value for money!

Reviews on Hotel were far from accurate. A/C in my room was a unit plugged in attached to window. There appears that No upgrades have been done for the 70 yrs it has existed. Would not stay again. Best part was the view on the Lake but not worth staying in this Town or hotel. FYI If traveling by train-beware no one is at the station including Taxi’s to pick you up. Very disappointed for last night in Italy.

A lovely, friendly place to stay
Great location, right on the lake. The hotel has a small private beach for dips in the water and it's near the ferry port. The food was really nice and service was very friendly. The room got a bit hot though and the air conditioning unit was quite noisy.

As first location is great for those who drive and respect peace amd privacy. Away from city noise with only 10 min drive any way to reach larger communities with many cafe's, restaurants, amazing local and designer's shops with reasonable prices. Property itself nice and quiet with friendly staff around hotel,bar restaurand and reception cleam and with very cosy style. Little private beach is a addition

Very basic, dated and old but great lake view
Check in was not particularly welcoming. Lift was rickety and unsteady. Room was a little dirty, air conditioning was appalling, toiletries were non-existent and generally just very old, dated and not really very comfortable. Only great thing was the view you looked out onto in the restaurant. Wouldn’t want to stay here again. Might visit the restaurant only.

Old hotel, useless internet wi-if, ok breakfast. But outstanding views of the lake for a moderate price. Belgirate is a small village with few ammenoties, walking distance fron Lesa with good restaurants. Belgirate is ideal to sart a dramatic boat to the islands.

Gem of a hotel
Quaint hotel and excellent breakfast Superb lake views Evening menus appeared pricey but we did eat there on our last night it was an excellent meal It is an easy drive down to Arona for a good choice of reasonably priced eating out

Amazing location, but old hotel, The only hotel in the small village with direct lake connection. Fantastic view from the room and outdoor restaurant. Private little “beach”. Dog friendly

Very old fashioned. Decor is 1970s style. No air conditioning. Just a fan. High priced bar. On positive side it has a beautiful terrace with lake view.

Excellent position/ a little tired
The hotel is conveniently located right by the Lake, near to a couple of good restaurants and bars. However, although it states 4 star, really it is more like 3 star in the UK. The fixed shower head was challenging to say the least unless you were under 5 foot tall. The barman was rather rude especially on our first night. The aircon in the room was very welcome.

Charming hotel with a marvellous terrace right on the lake-much better situated than the posh hotels in Stresa ! Sitting on the terrace with a drink watching the speedboats and beautiful peaceful scenery is like being in a James Bond film! The Manageress was very helpful in arranging an airport transfer at short notice when our flight was delayed.The white-coated waiter and his young lady assistant were smiling and friendly,as were the domestic staff. It's only a short walk to the bus,boat and train services if you want to explore outside Belgirate.Do ask for a lakeside room,the view is spectacular. We stayed for two weeks but wanted to stay much longer!

Lake front hotel
We love our room at hotel Milano. It faces the lake. So beautiful view. Breakfast is good with a nice lake view dining room. The staff r corteous. But the bed is too soft. WiFi in the 2nd floor is non existent. WiFi in lobby is good. Free carpark lots are plenty.

Room with a lake view is worth the extra!!
I stayed here for 3 nights in April 2018 and for the money, this hotel was fantastic. I personally don't care how flash the rooms are, as I was more interested in walking around the lake and visiting local towns etc. The rooms themselves look quite old and could do with updating, but as we were only there to sleep, this had no affect on our stay. The view from the bedroom was phenomenal.. Definitely worth upgrading to a lake view! All staff were extremely helpful and if you are looking for a quiet location, with a 5 minute drive to other more lively towns, this place is perfect!

The hotel is very well located with views from rooms and dinning areas over the lake. Our stay was in October and the weather was excellent 24C and dry.
