This was the worst hotel I’ve ever been to, with atrocious customer service. It started as soon as we got there, when it took 20 min (as opposed to the promised 5) to get the code to enter our room. Then, we had trouble getting Basel cards. Bafflingly, the hotel claimed they didn’t have my name and birthday, despite the fact that I gave them this info not an hour before during check in. Instead, I got a WhatsApp from a total stranger asking me for my information. Even after I gave it, I never got a Basel card. It was not worth it to bring it back up because the last thing I wanted was to give more info to a stranger who did not seem to understand why I found this interaction unprofessional and confusing.
The real problem was the room. The shower did not work and sprayed into the bathroom.The room was covered in dead bugs. The hand towels were covered in dead bugs. Live bugs still covered the ceiling. It clearly had not been cleaned prior to our arrival.
We suffered through a night. When we woke up, the problem was even worse. There were even more bugs. We sent videos to the help team. While they offered to change our room and refund our first night, they refused to give us a refund because “the weather causes bugs”. Why would a new room help if the issue was the weather? Why don't other hotels have this problem? It is nonsensical. I ate the cost and stayed at a clean hotel. I have no confidence in this place and will never stay at any Becozy pop up hotel again. DO NOT COME
