Porto Perguicas is three and a half hours by day from Sao Luis which is the nearest airport, and by night, four and a half hours. The entrance of Porto Preguicas Resort is beaten down as well as the road. However, once inside the facility, it is very pretty, and they have an array of things to do inside the facility too. The lodges are clean, spacious rooms and bathrooms (bathroom lacked some bathroom amenities), and AC unit cools magnificent. I ONLY which it had wifi service inside the rooms, and not just only in the common areas. The breakfast was amazing as well as the food and drinks!
The one downfall is that the staff is not bilingual,; and when I spoke to them, it was in Portuñol (a mix of Portuguese and Spanish), and their English was very limited to none.
Would I stay at Porto Perguicas Resort again? Absolutely, YES! It was a very nice experience and very relaxing! You need to be open minded and enjoy other cultures.
