El Prado is a classic hotel, with a beautiful resort style pool and grill bar. The place is immaculate, and the staff very friendly and helpful. There is a large gym. The room was large and very clean but shows its age (although it’s not in the original building-looks like a tower added on years ago). The shower was uneven (going back and forth from scorching hot to ice cold) and the thin windows leak hot air and noise. It’s also no longer a very fashionable area of town it seems. Still overall great getaway hotel, and no one walks in Barranquilla anyway so by Uber it’s close enough to where you want to go.

Very noisy!! I can’t believe a supposedly nice hotel doesn’t have any decent restaurant. The break fast was ok but the pool bar restaurant was horrible food and super slow service. The air conditioning was weak and there were almost no air conditioned areas to sit in. Overall a very regrettable choice. Never again.

Outstanding hotel especially staying in the new section. The pool is the best in Barranquilla and necessary to beat the heat. Lacking was service. Service around the pool was slow and less than friendly although we did love Freddy. All in all, still a great classic hotel that is well worth the stay.

Magnificently restored hotel from the 30's with fantastic amenities, among them an almost Olympic piscine. The breakfast buffet is fantastic, and the staff exceptional. Highly recommended.
