American opinion. Mehhh. GREAT location but that’s about it. Tiny rooms and the A/C was not adequate to keep up with summer heat. We are well traveled and would say nothing special about the hotel.

Room was tiny but all i really needed... bathroom was even smaller which was not very convenient. They charge for the safe per day which is pretty wack... on the positive side, it was right in the middle of everything and staff was friendly and had AC.

The hotel is situated just off the Ramblas. The staff are friendly and speak English. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Great location for a short break in Barcelona.

The location overrides everything. I had a single room and I knew ahead of time it would be a small space, but it was more than adequate. The wifi worked well, the shower had very good pressure and it was surprisingly quiet if you closed the balcony doors. I’m guessing triple glazing? I stayed six nights and walked everywhere. Minutes to La Rambla at the end of the street, ditto to Placa de La Catalunya in the other direction. If you don’t plan spending a lot of time in your room, this place is ideal. I recommend it undeservedly.

Superb Staff and Hotel in heart of Placa Catalunya
Shelagh, Isabelle, Ronnie and Mel are gracious staff Hotel Catalunya and definitely an asset to the hospitality industry. The hotel is situated centrally from Placa Catalunya and safe and quiet in the evenings. Highly recommended!

Great location. It is in the heart of the city, major tourist attractions are easily walkable. Only issue I had is that they had heater on for the first night, while it was pretty warm on that night. They changed it to AC the next day onwards and had no problem after that

Great Location
Location! This Hotel is right in the heart of everything you want to do! The staff were very friendly and hotel was clean with good water pressure. It is just a basic place but as a solo traveler it met my needs, a place to sleep, steps from some great restaurants, historic sites and Metro. I will definitely stay here again.

Basic room in great location.
Basic room in great location. On the Rambla, close to the metro, easy walking distance to many great things from Casa Batllo to the Gothic Quarter. There's a store on the corner that gives free chocolate samples!
