This beautiful condo on Sugar Mountain is meticulously cared for and boasts new furniture and beautiful, long-range mountain views. The large fireplace is the perfect place to warm up on those cold snowy nights, and in the summertime, the large deck has a porch swing to enjoy the cool breezes. The kitchen has everything you need to cool a large meal, and both bedrooms have comfortable furnishings to rest up for the next day's adventures.

Nice condo
Very nice unit, however we checked in after dark and the check in code did not match our unit and we had to call management to obtain entry to the unit. The listing was also incorrect stating the unit was on level 2. To me that means upstairs. This was a downstairs unit.

Many details in maintenance need to be accomplished. We could not use the back porch because of the wetness of the upholstered furniture. Needs a more thorough cleaning and repairs

Google maps is a bit confusing, i turned about 50 feet too early and almost got stuck. My wife did the same thing an hour later. House met all the expectations that the description and photos set. View was better than the photos showed. Would recommend putting in a king bed instead of of the queen in the master. Technically it does sleep 6 with the pull out couch. Owners would greatly benefit from taking out one queen and putting in two permanent bunk beds with doubles on the bottom and singles on the top. There were no baking pans to put our frozen pizza's on.

Great location and convenient to skiing, restaurants, shopping. The couch is extremely uncomfortable, and the “pull-out” is basically a cushion on the floor with a hard seam running through it. Sleeps 4 comfortably, any more than that is uncomfortable. Decor, bedding, glassware, etc all outdated, mismatched, and “well worn”. Only the living room tv has channels and they are only streaming services-so be sure to have your own logins ready. Walls and ceiling very thin so you will hear everything your neighbors upstairs are doing.

Great location and price, but broken couch
Overall, it was a great stay. The views and porch area are excellent and the location is great. Downsides - the couch was broken and slightly uncomfortable to use, the place was missing trash bags and there was a gross substance that got caught between two dishes and stored away in the cabinets (not a pleasant surprise).

Beautiful view and location, but amenities incorrect
This condo has a beautiful back porch view and a good location close to Grandfather Mountain and Banner Elk. We thoroughly enjoyed sipping coffee on the porch swing. We also enjoyed the futon sofa in the living room. But, we were unimpressed with the kitchen amenities. The listing describes the kitchen with "full amenities." As we began to cook chili one night after a long day we could not even open the cans because there was no can opener. That morning we didn't have a spatula for eggs. After closer observation there was no serving spoon, cutting board, baking sheets, mixing bowls, etc. The knives were dull and the tips bent (looks like people tried to open cans with them - we as contemplated doing.) The list goes on. There were two pots for the kitchen and two frying pans. We only had four adults and a toddler - if six adults were staying there is no way we could have easily prepared a meal with what was available. The coffee pot seemed very worn out since it took over 45 min to brew a pot of coffee the first morning. The kitchen sink was leaking into the lower cabinets so we had to call the rental company who promptly sent someone out to try and help. (He also brought a can opener and a spatula! Thanks Sam, who was great!). But, there were no scissors for us to get the can opener out of the package. We were unable to use the kitchen sink for the rest of the trip and couldn't run the dishwasher. Aside from the sick the drain stop in the master does not work. Not always a problem for adults but children like baths. The chairs around the kitchen table have nail heads sticking out near the joints.... again, toddler feet. All fixable problems and based on our experience with the rental company during our stay they will be fixed promptly. But, we should have saved some money and stayed in a hotel since we didn't have a fully functioning kitchen anyways.
