In Banner Elk, Shady Pines has breathtaking long-range mountain views on a wooded lot. Banner Elk Winery is five minutes away, close to downtown Banner Elk, about ten minutes from the cabin, and offers local shopping, dining, and breweries. Sugar Mountain Resort and Beech Mountain Ski Resort are about twenty minutes from the cabin and provide outdoor adventures. Beech Mountain Ski Resort hosts outdoor activities year-round for the whole family. In winter, you will find your favorite activities like skiing, snowboarding, and snow tubing. Guests can experience award-winning mountain bike trails, hiking, disc golf, and scenic lift rides in summer. The Valle Crucis Community and Riverfront Community Park is eight miles down the road and offers flat walking trails, playgrounds, various ball fields and courts, and access to the river for fishing, wading, and floating.

Shady Pines is a three-level cabin that can accommodate up to ten guests in four bedrooms, with plenty of room to spread out or gather together. The main level living room features vaulted tongue-and-groove ceilings and a stacked rock wood-burning fireplace. Curl up on the leather couch to warm up after a day of High Country adventure while watching the Smart TV. The covered back deck, located off the living room, will delight guests with its outdoor dining, gas grill, and long-range mountain views. Hardwood floors seamlessly transition the main level from the living room to the dining room and kitchen. The kitchen features granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, and you can cook up a gourmet meal to enjoy at the dining table, with seating for seven. Downstairs is home to a second living area with a large TV and air hockey table. Play a friendly game of air hockey or checkers while watching the big game. The lower level deck has a comfortable seating area where guests can enjoy the fresh mountain air. Relax around the outdoor fire pit and roast marshmallows while sharing stories of your mountain adventures.

Shady Pines is a lovely mountain home featuring four bedrooms where up to ten guests can comfortably sleep. The main floor is home to the master bedroom with a king bed, Smart TV, and private ensuite. The ensuite has double vanities and a step-in shower. Downstairs, guests will find two additional bedrooms. Both bedrooms have queen beds and share a Jack-N-Jill bathroom with double vanities and a shower. The loft features a cozy bedroom with two twin beds, a full bathroom, and a spacious sitting area with a king sleeper sofa for an additional sleeping spot. The twin bedroom does not have air conditioning.

At Shady Pines, we strive to provide all the comforts of home and more. Our amenities include WiFi and cable TV, ensuring you stay connected and entertained. Central heating and cooling keep the cabin at a comfortable temperature year-round. For your convenience, a washer and dryer are available. The cabin also features a main floor powder room. Please note that dogs are not allowed at Shady Pines. Access to the cabin is via a gravel road and driveway, with parking for three vehicles. Please note that exterior cameras are in place. We recommend AWD or 4WD and chains for winter travelers.
