Wonderful Property perfectly located
Beautiful property and pet friendly, tough to find! Property is surrounded by deer and long winding roads great for early morning walks with my lab. Town a short distance away as well, highly recommend.

Needs a deep cleaning.
The house was in a good location. It needs a deep cleaning. There was no cleaning spray. They want you to start laundry before you leave but provided no laundry detergent. The grass wasn't cut. The gate was broken and when entering the home the front door handle kept falling off. Dusty. I liked that the bedding was white and looked clean. Plenty of hand soap, toilet paper and tissues. The photos are obviously from long ago. They need to update the furniture, towels, area rugs, etc. I don't think there was air-conditioning. At least I couldn't find any way to turn it on. It wasn't hot during most of our stay so the many fans and windows were sufficient.

Cabin Getaway
Great location! Our family took a quick ski trip before Christmas, and this cabin was conveniently located a few minutes from the entrance to Beech Mountain Ski Resort. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed including dog toys for our Golden Retriever that came along. It had plenty of space for everyone to relax after skiing all day.

good location
the house was a good size and good location, but needs a little upkeep. beds were rock hard. linens were threadbare. was nice to have some games and the layout and decor were good. just a few small improvements - new mattresses and towels, would make it excellent.

Amazing views in this little cottage
We stayed at this great little townhouse for Friday through Sunday. The house had everything you'd need and plenty of space for everyone. The back porch had the most amazing views as did the upstairs loft. The owner was so wonderful to answer my questions when I had emailed prior since we arrived on Friday and caught the remnants of hurricane Nicole that dumped a TON of rain on the area. The hiking was a bit rough if it's been raining, so we couldn't do too many trails, BUT the house is so close to all of the trails! You can get a map of the trails at Fred's Mercantile. There's a great little coffee shop - Poppy's - right down the street from the house. Banner Elk is also very close and a great place to visit for lunch. We also woke up to the first snow of the season on Sunday morning (small panic moment) and the homeowner was so good in replying to my email immediately. She gave me info on what to expect, who I could call for road reports, etc. Turned out great... we were supposed to bring our dog with us and ended up not bringing her, but there is a nice fenced in front yard. There's also a shared fire pit (we didn't get to try out due to lots of rain). The stairs to go down to the lower level are a bit steep and lower ceiling heights on the stairwell - I'm short so I was fine, but would be hard for older people or very tall people like my husband. :-) Overall, it was a great place to stay and we loved our trip, rain and snow and all! Highly recommend!

Great mountain getaway
Nice cottage. Enjoyed our time there. Agreed with previous reviews that stairs are difficult if you have mobility issues, are older or young children.

Beat the heat getaway
We were 2 couples looking to get away from the city heat. Beech Mountain was just right. Highs of 72 in the middle of August! Very refreshing. Unit had everything we needed. Was well used but clean. A few minor advertised things were missing - “complimentary toiletries and hair dryer”. To be fair we did not contact anyone to have these items brought to us so really can’t complain too much. Overall it was just what we needed to enjoy the cool mountain weather and use it as a base while we enjoyed the outdoors and great restaurants in the Banner Elk area. Great value.

Nice view and quaint
The townhouse was equipped with everything that we needed. Loved the view and open concept of the property along with the fenced in front yard. Stairs may be a challenge for older people, but was not a problem for us. Would stay here again!

What a great house!
We were blown away by this house. We had 8 people and it was perfect for our mountain bike trip and the dogs loved it to. Started each day sitting on the deck and watching the mountains light up. Great place!

Beautiful and spacious mountain getaway!
Even though it rained almost all weekend, we loved our stay here. The place was very roomy and open and the cleanest pet-friendly rental we have ever stayed in. Having the fenced-in yard for our dog was so convenient and there were even a bunch of dog toys there for her to play with. We would highly recommend and will certainly be back!
