Grand Mercure Asoke
Grand Mercure was a super star in its heyday. Its still a good hotel where the back building is converted to long term residences. The rooms are large with full kitchen, sitting / living room and separate bed room. It is still a solid hotel but the dark wood is showing some wear and 20 mos of CoVid lockdowns are hitting the room rates. The in-room washing machines are very helpful! Shower needs more water pressure.

Reasonable price and good access
Interior decoration is old-fashioned, but reasonable price for spacious space. Good access from the BTS ASOK station. But I recomend the taxi use when the rain, because of the puddles on the small street of the SOI-19.

Great apartment hotel on quiet street. Had washing machine full kitchen separate bedroom and balcony and was huge. Great value and was nice for first and last night of our trip. 20min walk from makkasan was tough dragging roller bags and stroller but that's life. Sidewalks in Bangkok are not ADA compliant. Lol

This hotel was very convenient to bts and mrt for getting around Bangkok. Terminal 21 was also close by for wonderful food court. Would stay again.

Sensational place to stay for a family.
If it’s kowtowing and staff making you fee like the person you wish you were, then find somewhere else to stay. This hotel is far too good for you. We frequent this hotel at least once a year. The recently refurbished breakfast buffet is on par with every other breakfast buffet you’ll find out there. The kind staff are never overbearing. You never have to put up with an expatriate staff member greeting you with insincerity. The Frand Mercure feels more like home. And just like home it’s a little rough around the edges, but that is exactly why we will continue to patronise his establishment.
