1st time i see un friendly staff at the hotel in bangkok City! I am a gold member of Hotels.com & i was not given an upgrade mentioning clearly by the front desk that they dont deel with hotels.com We asked for late check out & was not provided till we have to reach to hotel management Room had a insects in my room after the room was cleand AC stopped working on day 3 all night Breakfast had limited options for Muslims (mejorty options had pork)! While it says its halal food ingredient at the restaurant reception. My room was 1705

Beautiful stay in Bangkok. The room was clean and had a spectacular panorama window overlooking the river! Lovely upgrade thanks to my Expedia vip status. The rooftop pool was amazing with incredible views overlooking the river as well-only wish it was open later to enjoy as it’s almost too hot to enjoy in the mid day blazing sun. The river shuttle was a lovely touch and enjoyable to experience putting you in touch with all the major access points in the city. Had dinner upon checking at Longboard with was nice but their breakfast Buffett really shines. A major spread of everything you can think of, but done in a tasteful way-not a glutinous American style Buffet.

Avani is a beautiful hotel - really clean and the staff couldn’t be more helpful. The location is fantastic and the bed is one of the best I’ve slept on. Breakfast is great too. Would definitely recommend this hotel

At check-in they insisted that we had requested twin beds even though my hotels.com reservation clearly stated that we requested a king size. They initially said no king size beds were available at all but eventually found us a room with a king size (upgraded room type). About the room, lighting controls were confusing, with bathroom light switches by the front door. The bed was one of the best I’ve slept in with really good pillows and bed linen. Towels were not replaced by housekeeping so we had to call reception, and oddly enough we received some yellow, very thin/flimsy towels that barely did the job (unlike the fluffy towels we had originally). Service and food quality in SEEN restaurant and pool bar was haphazard at best. Prices are “5 star” but quality certainly didn’t live up to it.
