Three-bedrooms, Wonderful location and near Uvita
Enjoy the sounds of the Costa Rican jungle and a private swimming pool, along with a wonderful three-bedroom home, in Ballena, Costa Rica (10 minutes south of Uvita).
The property is gated and has a carport for up to two vehicles.
Osa Property Management’s Concierge and Vacation Planner team will contact you after you have made your reservation. We will assist with making any necessary transportation arrangements from Juan Santamaria International Airport in San Jose (SJO), or one of the local regional airports in Palmar Sur or Quepos, to property in Ballena.
We will also arrange all excursions/activities/tours with reputable companies in the area, provide a link for grocery delivery, and make reservations at any restaurant. Our goal is to make your trip to Costa Rica enjoyable and as relaxing as you want it to be.
The home is located in Ballena, just south of Uvita.
Uvita is one of the Central Pacific's best kept secrets. The beaches are beautiful, the hills are lush, wildlife is abundant and its the perfect place to surf, horseback ride or just relax. There are wonderful restaurants, banks, grocery stores, bakeries and several National Parks.
If you are looking for a beautiful beach destination that is far less developed than Manuel Antonio, Uvita is a fantastic alternative. The highlight is Marino Ballena National Park, featuring the famous sandy "Whale Tail" where migrating humpback whales can be seen just offshore. You can whale watch, dolphin watch or snorkel.
Uvita also makes a great base for exploring Dominical (12 miles North) which is a fun, funky hippie and counterculturist enclave with great shops, dining, live music, candlelight yoga, spas, bars and beach.
The tiny town of Ojochal is 9 miles to the South and is known as one of the best foodie town in Costa Rica. Ojochal also offers easy access to Playa Ventanas, a small and beautiful beach famous for its sea caves.
For those who enjoy golfing, the southern pacific’s only golf course, Osa Golf Course, is an easy 20 minute drive south.
Guests will meet with an Osa Property Management representative at our office in Uvita for check-in, and then be escorted to the home. Osa Property Management will also be available from 8 am - 8 pm via WhatsApp group chat.
Ballena Bliss is a private home with no shared spaces. Guests will have the exclusive use of the property and the swimming pool.
A private vehicle is strongly recommended as private transport is not always available.
A 4x4 vehicle is always recommended, but other 2x4 vehicles can access the property. Osa Property Management drives a 2x4 Toyota Escort Sport that can easily make it to the home.
This part of Costa Rica does not have UBER and private taxis are not always available.

You will also be given the choice between paying a refundable deposit or buying a non-refundable damage waiver. We suggest you buy the damage waiver as this protects you in case you cause accidental damage during a booking.
The first floor of Ballena Bliss was designed to incorporate enjoyment with both the inside and the outside of the home, but blending into one connected space. Second floor has all 3 bedrooms and incredibly covered patio.The second floor is where all three bedrooms are located (all bedrooms have air conditioners inside the room).
The Owner's Bedroom: A/C, en-suite bathroom
Bedroom #2: Queen bed, A/C, patio/balcony access from the bedroom
Bedroom #3: Bunk beds, A/C
There is a bathroom on the second floor for the guests of Bedroom #2 and Bedroom #3 to share.
There is an amazing outside covered patio on the second floor available for Guests to enjoy the outdoors throughout the year. It's a great place to enjoy the breezes, the sounds of the jungle and to watch the ocean.
Pak-n'Play or Baby Travel Bed can be rented for an additional $50 USD (plus VAT) fee and must be requested at least 48 hours in advance
